It really is lol, I was actually thinking about Bizhawk but I'll give it a few tests first as I only used it a few times in the past. I want to make it still accessible but more accurate and thats kinda the messy part. Thank you for the suggestion, I'll give it a look. I know the loads are around 4 seconds generally on consoles but I'll also be testing the frames too so we wont have to worry about this happening again.

Seen as though EPSXE has not been receiving updates for around 4 years it has now been considered not viable. I have already put in place replacement emulators (XEBRA, Mednafen, RetroArch Beetle/Beetle HW) that can be used. (Also up for suggestions too for any other alternatives)

As another note, it is now needed that you must capture the emulators window unless if running RetroArch. If running RetroArch you must show the settings before or after a run so we can verify it's the right core.

Concerning old runs not stating the emulators or running EPSXE, they will still stay and I will find a suitable location to place them (Maybe a separate category) losing hard work is a no in my eyes. I know this is a little bit frustrating if you were planning on using EPSXE but it's just not viable at this point going forward.

All I can think of is a level leaderboard as like a secondary section in the main boards as then each character for each game could be mapped out individually, I think the T3 board does that. I'm pretty sure it would allow categories too for them but I know how much time it takes to fill all that out plus it depends if you would prefer it to be strictly it's own thing or part of the games main boards. Only thing I can really think of.

Like the idea, been too long since I last run but this will be interesting to run and finding strats for each character. Very interested in finding what good strats for Cerv are.

I was thinking about it for a while but wasn't too sure there would be interest in doing it, I'm glad I wasn't the only one with that lol. Hopefully it might help others to want to pick up the game and give it a shot too.

Hey there, I was wondering if it would be a good idea to set up a Discord for this game at all? I was mainly thinking for stuff like if anyone has questions about certain things in the game, run or in general or for discussions and stuff like that. Hey there, just opened this leaderboard up for people wanting to speedrun this game. This is just to say if you are wondering where NOX, EVE, NECO and MODOKI are I chose to split them up into their own sections in the Level Leaderboard section. The main reason I decided to do this is due to the those characters mainly being boss or bonus characters so therefor more powerful, it's just to be safe really. I wouldn't mind discussing this but for now it's best to leave them there until more research on them is done. That being said, they are still perfectly playable for the All Character category. Hey there, I spent some time overhauling the look and the setup of the leaderboards as it was a bit of a mess the first time I set it up. Cleaned it up a little and included every category I could think of (as well as keeping it as fair as possible) other than the Tiny Phalanx mini-game.

I'm considering on adding the mini-game too at a later date but I need to research it more to see if it's more viable for speedrunning due to it being a side scroll shooter.

Ok so I was grinding out this boss fight to see if I could find a way to beat her more consistent. The Grabbing works great but there were many times Viola would interrupt or just escape, this strat is kinda like a hybrid of DaisyFan's grab and one I found while grinding. Here's a video I made explaining it, the times you're more likely safe to grab and showing it in action. Hopefully it's of use.

I think it's a good idea man. I remember you checked out my run and asked which model of 360 I used but I didn't know the load times were that far out when playing PS3 and 360. I have found model of 360's does effect loads very slightly too as I have 2 slims but the one I didn't use is faster on loads maybe due to revisions.

I always wondered about the IGT because sometimes it would be close to my RT or nowhere near even though I time it the same. I agree with Run Verification as it is too easy to just post whatever. I've been planning on running the game on PS3 too but that Nebula fight man...

After wondering which would be most fair I decided to opt for In Game Time as default due to the speed difference between PAL and NTSC regions. This also means only In Game Time is needed now but feel free to add your Real Times if you would like to.
