This is correct. There is a category for PS3 submissions on the leaderboard. Were you wondering if it wasn't present or couldn't find it?
I noted that the current IL submissions on the leaderboards are for Any%. My argument for adding glitchless versions of ILs for Moon and Mines:
Moon: Having clean movement going through the ship and getting to the Moon Caves with Gizmo Mines: The section below the bottom 3rd floor takes precision to get through without stopping and no pesky mine skip.
Thoughts?
Okay. I looked over the document and basically got the idea to not impose any extreme settings that would create an unfair advantage. However, would I need to capture the game in windowed mode then? It's not super appealing to be streaming in this fashion. Maybe just verifying settings before or after run would suffice but looking for an answer on this.
Can DuckStation be used to run this game? I used to use ePSXe for emus but honestly I have an easier time using DuckStation and thinking about doing some runs for the game. Just want confirmation and if so, what configurations would be needed.
@muikula so what's the thought on this then? Can we declare a separate leaderboard for runs done on the easy difficulty for both main categories at this time? Reiterating the idea that these are not exclusive entirely of the regular categories as a whole [meaning an easy run can be posted on both its category AND easy extension]. If a volume is to be met to establish it, then I will point again to the example of the Sly Cooper Community only needing a small number of submissions to declare an extension. Either that or manual re-submission/flagging/inclusion of older runs done on Easy on the current boards to populate it [you may know if this is possible].
@muikula I'm for having both any% and glitchless boards having their easy difficulty runs separated. The idea of having the categories "extended" in this particular case means that runners that don't want to go the extra mile to master Extreme difficulty will have a board that's accessible and exclusive to them. This is to say they would be completely separate from the main boards which would remain intact.
Would likely go with the convention "Any% Easy" and "Glitchless Easy".
This has been discussed by me, you, and Roach. If we were to create an Easy% Leaderboard as to which only runs done on Easy difficulty can be accepted but keep it separately from the main leaderboard [any%], then we can move for it as a category extension with approval. 3 runs should be enough to kick start it.
@hustlebacher are you saying that the glitchless category should seperate Extreme and the Easier difficulties? Also the idea for Cat Extensions [at least with my focus] is to create different types of runs so that there's more to go for other than the two main cats.
Category Extension Idea w/reference video: Life%
Concept: Start the game and collect all lives without dying ONCE. Beat the game with the max amount of lives on your life counter. Example: Extreme Lives would be 11.
Restrictions:
- No Easy runs since the difficulty provides unlimited lives. Medium, Hard, and Extreme Only.
- No Death Warps since they would cost a life and therefore not satisfy the number of max lives.
- Getting Heart containers in both Himalayas and Transylvania may be a really good idea if playing on Hard/Extreme.
