good shit im so happy to see my bugged run be beaten
When the game releases on June 21st, the leaderboard will be locked for 1 week. During this period runs will not be verified. There are several reasons for the lock: • Prevent WR sniping • To allow time for casual playthroughs without the pressure to rush for competition • To allow moderators time to establish a ruleset
Runs can be submitted during the lock. Keep in mind that runs you submit during the lock may end up being rejected due to rule differences post-lock.
A Trepang2 speedrunning discord server will also be attached to the game's page which includes an FAQ and channels for questions/discussion to help answer any questions or concerns and to allow for better communication between mods, runners, and developers.
It saves time in the safehouse, its essentially an instant teleport to the mission select area. Since I posted that I thought about it and I think that it shouldn't be allowed. It would cut down time but it would make the game less fun to run and could cause issues.
There is a large audience of people that are competing to complete the prologue mission on Rage Mode difficulty without dying. Doing so gets you the "Rage Mode God" role in the official Trepang2 Discord server. I think it would be a cool category to add.
You can save quite a bit of time simply by force quitting (alt+f4, etc.) the game. My question is should this be allowed, and if it is, is the timer going to be paused to only count in-game time? Further, I personally think that full game runs should have removed load times. Some people have slower pc's and will take unfair time losses if load times are not removed.
Yeah i actually messed it up pretty bad, you can jump to the railing all the way from the shelf I climbed before, but it is pretty tricky getting it fast and consistent mid run.
