I know I'm kind of necroing this thread but I just want to say there are two solutions in this kind of situation. You can learn to be happy improving your PB in your own way without caring about leaderboard placement. Or you can change your settings and use whatever is optimal. Personally I think the best part of speedrunning is beating your own times so just focus on yourself and grind however you see fit, King.
With no speed glitch, you can use other glitches besides the speed glitch. With glitchless, you can't use any at all. More categories is always better in my opinion, keeps a game fun!
Is there any real way to interact with the dog? I messed around a bit on the PC version before bed and couldn't find a way. A dog based category would be popular. Also interesting to note, the dog isn't in the mobile version from what I can tell.
I'd definitely be down for prototype runs! I just looked at a few screenshots and saw a few minor differences, so that should feel sort of fresh and new.
I ended up buying the mobile version of Four Last Things to mess around with and I have to say, touch controls do make things feel a bit simpler. I was hoping to come up with different categories while messing about on the go but I'm still drawing a blank for the most part.
This run will be tough to beat, but I noticed a few places where you could save some time.
Thank you, I'll try windowed and that cursor trick is going to be a life saver!
I'm looking forward to learning Calvary sometime this year, I'll be sure to brainstorm categories then! I didn't realise Joe had other games, I'll be sure to check out The Preposterous Awesomeness at some point so you have some company on the leaderboard when it's added :)
Hi there, just wondering if we could maybe make some misc categories to help encourage new runners to check out this game? With the third game by Joe Richardson under works, it'd be nice to see the games in the trilogy run both individually and back-to-back. These are some of my favourite point-and-click games and I think they need more love.
I was thinking one category could be a meme one like lust%, in the same vein as the sex% category for Fallout games. It'd be short and grab people's attention on the front page here.
I'm sure there are loads of fun categories we could create.
