I think there should be new categories. Not just Any%, 100%, and all stars. Like separate Worlds categories, kind of like Cyberscores. Remember World 5 category, well let's add that back and also more worlds. What do you think?
I actually would want to try that... But first, the run should be with catsuit I don't have a submitted run yet.
Personally, to start speedrunning, I would choose a short and easy game. If you don't enjoy it, you don't have to play it, but the #1 game to start speedrunning I would recommend is the 1985 classic, the first Super Mario Bros. You should do a retro game because most are short and easy and have mostly easy glitches to perform. Recommend Sonic and Mario 1.
Well, I understand that the server you sent me might be for the whole Super Mario series, but mines is a lot better!! Like A LOT BETTER!! It has so many things on it and is literally only focused on SMB1, so it is for the 500+ people that speedrunned this game!!! Please join everyone.

I looked it up on Discordservers.com and there wasn't any. So, I began working hard to create a server. I finished it!!! So, I am finally done, but just read the rules first!! Make sure to read the rules!! So, I am glad to announce, the Super Mario Speedrunning server!!

So, I have terrible quality videos and I don't care because they somewhat turn out to be good and also I am too poor to buy a $140 Wii U capture card. So, here is the question:
I have the recording the speedrun down, but how do you insert the LiveSplit timer into the video? Any recommendations? Like, you see the stream, and on the side, you see the timer, or at the bottom, you see it. So how do you insert it? Like I said, I don't have any fancy gadgets. Just a phone/tablet camera (or two) and a tripod.

Dude just get the game on VC for Wii U or Switch. It is only 5.35 dollars with 7% tax included. If you don't have those consoles, get it on 3DS though the controls feel a little awkward. If you don't have 3DS, get a 2DS for $80.
You can check darbian's guide which is 2 hours but skip to the Frame Rules and 8-3 part. It has to completely do with frame rules. Whichever set of 21 frames you exit 8-2 will determine 8-3 Hammer Bros. which tick me off.
What category is it? BTW, I found a way to reset to Goombas. You just go to Data Management settings and click on Super Mario Bros. and delete the save data that has your Mii face on it. Not the game, just the save data!! But anyways, what is the category with Buzzy Beetles called?
Well, how do I remove the Buzzy Beetles? Better question: can you speedrun with Buzzy Beetles or do you need to have the Goombas? Please answer.
So, I beat Mario on my Wii U VC and I pressed B to start the game over. When I played again no Goombas were there and I was like, "How do I reset the game to normal with the Goombas?" I beat it again and same thing happened. Can someone tell me how to reset it back to normal with Goombas and without the round shelled guys that are not Koopas (don't know their names, lol)? I just got it a day before this post. I really want to speedrun this!!!!
tbh, u don't really need food to speedrun this game. u can use food to beat the bosses in a faster time, but u don't need food or elixirs. What I would do is look it up on the Internet, or just watch other runners cook and take notes of the ingredients they used. It is simple really. You can try going to IGN. I think they have a list of everything Breath of the Wild (shrines, side quests, food, etc.).

I think there should be a Great Plateau Speedrun where someone has to beat the 4 shrines in the Great Plateau and obtain the paraglider. This would make speedruns a lot easier (unless you're on Master Mode), and anyways, there should be a different category. If there is a Dungeon speedrun, then there should be a tutorial speedrun as well. Please consider it. I would want to speedrun in that category instead of Any% which might take too long/be too hard. The Great Plateau is a perfect mixture of difficulty and easiness, so that's why I think it should be one of the categories. Timer starts when the New Game is loaded and Zelda starts talking. Timer ends when you obtain the paraglider.
I was also thinking about this for the crazy people out there, but there should be All Koroks speedrun. If there is 100% Speedrun, then there should be only an All Koroks speedrun. It would half the time taken for a 100% Speedrun, so I would definitely think about it. Timer starts when Zelda starts talking. Timer ends when you get Hestu's Gift.
