From my understanding console should have the potential to have faster loads, play on PS2 with FDS (Fast disc speed) and it should be faster than allowed emulators (typically epsxe). I’m yet to come across a PS1 game to loads faster on EPSXE as opposed to PS2 with FDS so to save splitting the leaderboard / separating the competition I would propose to make EPSXE the only allowed emulator to prevent faster loads from occurring through emulator.

Edit: if you want an example of this; the Spyro series does this or at least the popular speedrunning ones like the original trilogy. Please let me know what we think about this proposal.

Oh and I’m currently waiting for my NTSC copy of the game to shipped being from Australia it takes half a century.

what do you mean remap the controls? do you need to alter them from default to strafe?

I Would be fine with it being a thing. Being that there are no difficulties and only the story it would allow for 1 category being any% I’d assume.

I’m considering to buy it digitally as I’m certain the loading times would be better but again that’s not 100% certain.

Further statement: To make the board a bit cleaner maybe have a tab called “any%” and within that tab you have Rookie, pro veteran and all difficulties. then you have “100%” and within that you have the difficulties again. I moderate other games and check this site on a regular basis for that reason so if you’d like me to be a moderator to setup what I have recommended or to be here to just Verify runs within a timely basis, I would be up for it. I was about to do a run of this game but noticed that your loading s are much quicker so was just curious as to whether you have the game digitally? Cause I would assume that would have the fastest loads?

The other mod of this game hasn’t been on for 2 months. So is great that you are active.

The 1 and only moderator for beat saber was last online 2 months ago and categories haven't been set up.

I moderate other games so would be happy to moderate it however as far as the implementing of categories go I'll debate it within its forums.

With and without FDS enabled. loading times go faster with FDS but I’ve just had the game stop multiple times.

Could we have IGT and have it take priority over RTA categories?

I understand it’s probably a pain to get around to figuring out one’s IGT but would mean loading times can be taken out of the equation. I started doing NG+ again with an actual PS2 but has issues as it takes an obscure amount of time to load on random loading screens.

If it were to be a thing, I would happy to calculate the IGT for the top times of the categories as of currently.

I will just proceed on emulator for decent loading times if we will not worry about implementing IGT.

I feel a difference when I play with another character using the sportster so my guess is that it's the combination. But someone else can probably give you a better answer.

Can we delete the wrong warp category for tournament mode? Maybe if we really want to, we can have touney a and tourney b as individual categories along with the existing category involving both tournaments in 1 run. I would do runs of the singular cups myself if it were to be a thing, once I have time and can come back to the game.

Was considering to play this game and noticed within the rules it states that loading times are not counted, if that's the case would it be easier to use IGT by add up the time each track took. I'm unsure how one would remove loading times from ones time
