Coming into effect on February 1st, runs will now be required to put the seed used in the submission comment. If a runner does not include the seed, we will reject the run and ask them to resubmit with the seed included.
For random seed runs, do /seed after the run has been completed and time has stopped in order to find the seed. Do not do this before the run is complete.
There's currently a seed variable: this is being phased out and will be removed in a few days. Please include seed in your run comment, do not just use the variable.

For the sake of informing people not in the discord: All the runners of the category have voted in favor of allow, as well as three out of the four mods who have stated an opinion so far. If neither side gets a significant majority, we will probably allow unless there is opposition from several active community members.
Full end portals activate on 1.9+, but that doesn't matter because strongholds are really far in those versions
In AA categories, one common method to get the achievement "On A Rail" is to clip through the Bedrock Ceiling on top of the Nether, then to stack Minecarts together so that they travel indefinitely on the flat Nether Roof. Minecart stacking has been confirmed glitchless with the development of Crafterdark's SSG strategy involving stacked TNT minecarts and is thus not up for debate. The main issue whether going on top of the Nether Roof is considered glitchless. Methods such as Pearl Clips can be argued both ways whether it's glitched or not, and there are arguments that ignore the method of getting onto the roof and argue altogether that being on top itself is considered a glitch. Whenever the legitimacy of Nether Roof is discussed, there has never been clear consensus. This is why we are hosting a community poll to determine if Nether Roof is considered a glitch.
That comment was supposed to be at least half-joking and I did not intend it to ever be posted as an official statement.
The timing is actually really easy it's just that if you do it perfectly you can get a faster variant of it
This sounds like a bug on SRC's end to me, unless you made an edit after it was verified in which case it would need to be verified again.
The runs are fine, we would just prefer they be submitted separately.
This will be added when someone completes a run of it
Time would probably start upon being pushed, yes. Depending on the exact circumstances of the run it might start earlier.
Officially speaking, 1-3 weeks. The Minecraft speedrun verification queue fills up pretty quickly and a lot of the mods are somewhat busy, and we tend to focus more on the main game than CE when we do verify runs. If it's been over, say, a week, feel free to @ us in the Minecraft Speedrun Discord or something to get our attention.
