Indiana, USAIt seems Mister__K will be making a new video about the glitches showing the old and new one. I know someone had previously asked about this so just wanted to give an update.

It was just a meme joke. I made the fake record submission. A few others have done it on some other leaderboards.
Well with virtual console I think it makes your times slower than they should be. So if this is the case with the mini, then unfortunately you will lose a little bit of time on your runs. I don't know if there is a formula to account for the time or how this would be addressed though.
The wall climbs on 4-2 and 6-3 are far too perfect. I've never witnessed a top runner of this game make anything look remotely that precise. I've considered this run fake for a long time.
Yeah, i don't see much of a point like Viruse has said already. I would recommend using the code to get used to playing the game though. Certainly no harm in that. That's how I used to play as well. Truthfully, this isn't a hard run to learn on a beginner level and there is a great tutorial for beginner strats under the guides section here too. Give it a thourough watch, and work your way through the various tech until you start to feel good about your gameplay, and then ditch that code. Won't take you long at all to get the feel for the game. the first real milestone is getting that deathless run.

Myself and everyone else here in the Contra community will be more than happy to help you out. We can even give demonstrations if you like. RebootTV suggested doing some srl races before the tournament. I thought this was a fun idea, and wanted to post it here to see if others would be interested. We were thinking 2pm eastern time on Sunday's. Let me know if this sounds reasonable, and if not, let's figure out a better day or time to allow everyone a chance to participate.

Hi there fellow speed runners. I just added a ninja gaiden: dark sword of chaos run to the board. I thought it might need to be verified, but it went straight up. I hope I didn't jump the gun somehow by doing this. If that's the case, my apologies. I'll try to learn the appropriate channels on the site.
I also have a ninja gaiden run at 12:42, and a contra run I need timed. The Contra run is kind of in its own catergory though. I beat it while the cartridge was really glitched. I didn't use livesplits or anything, and I recorded these on vhs. these runs are on my youtube channel. The link is in my profile.
