How to get 350 in 7-2 (Luigi)
Run and jump onto the first moving platform and make a jump into the air (this is the hard part because you just have to train your muscle memory how high to jump) your goal is to make the smallest possible jump while still making it over the gap that the platform takes you over. You make the jump and while in the air for that split second you move to the very left of the platform.(as far as possible without risking everything) you will then run and jump off the very right edge(as far as possible, risk level high) of the platform. You will be sent under the mystery block and you should hit very close to the left edge of land. You will then do a regular process of going into the pipe jumping of the back of the turtle. If you did good and got the best possible speed you should enter the pipe at the ledgendary “dash 85”. You will then go through the underground and enter the second pipe at 380. When you come out of the last pipe you will run and again (very hard) jump at the right place and bounce off the top of the flying guy(sorry forgot his name) and without slowing down you will land on the first fire bar block.(this is extremely important and challenging with no visual mark!) you will then jump over the first turtle and continue the regular path on to the flag.(350 for a straight flag grab and 349 for the backwards flag pole grab) if you do not under stand this, I am putting out a video at some point. I have tried my hardest to make this easy to understand. You can make a tutorial on it if you want to be the first published 350 7-2 (at least with this strat) just please mention me as I spent hours trying to figure out the best and fastest way. The one person that helped me out a tad bit was goofychocobo, he completed the first “dash 85” on recording and without watching that (twitch video (more attempts with weegee)) over and over I finally figured out that the 85 was possible constantly so thank you goofy 👍 thank you for reading!

Correct FDS rom

The correct rom has the name "Super Mario Brothers 2 (Japan).fds" and the md5 hash "7f38210a8a2befb8d347523b4ff6ae7c".
To play it on emulator you also need an FDS bios file and your emulator must be able to run FDS games (FCEUX, Nestopia, Bizhawk all can).

There is a NES port by loopy that is somewhat accurate and useful for savestate practice on Powerpak. For all actual runs though please do not use using any ".nes" roms.

Super Mario Bros. has been remade for the SNES and bundled with other games in the series. The graphics have been updated and some glitches are fixed.
There is also a version which contains Super Mario World too.

## **Differences from the NES version**

The hitboxes are less forgiving, especially notable with the Piranha Plants.
Luigi still accelerates less quickly than Mario, but the difference is less.
World 9 does not loop anymore and you retain your life count instead of having it set to 1. You go to World A after finishing 9-4 instead.
The bonus world A-D come directly after 8-4 (or world 9-4, if you play without warps) instead of having to beat the game 8 times and having to use a code on the title screen to play them as in the original.
You start with 5 instead of 3 lives.
Losing all lives makes you restart from the start of the level instead of the start of the world.
As big Mario/Luigi, you can get your head stuck in the ceiling when breaking a brick. This brings you to a stop in the air and you lose your speed.
There are new level transitions screen, which you have to skip (or wait out and lose time).
There is a sound clue in maze levels to tell you, if you are on the right path or not.
There are no checkpoints in the bonus worlds.
The Hammer Brothers in the bonus worlds now always charge at you.
The Bowsers in the bonus worlds now throw hammers.
In the bonus worlds, the enemies move quickly if you beat 8-4 without using warps. If you beat 8-4 using warps, the enemies will move at normal speed. If you save and quit and return to your game, enemies will move quickly.
You can finish the ending sequence of a level faster by touching the flagpole backwards (facing left).
There is one less seaweed blocking your path in 3-2.
The Wrong Warp in 5-2 is no longer possible.
Despawning happens way less frequently.
