So Boss Central just recently had a pretty major update. Hard Mode Boss Central features some of our most popular speedran levels and has buffed them for a more harder challenge for speedrunners and players. We have added the Hard Mode category into the levels area. Reason we placed it there is if we were to create a new variable to separate normal mode and hard mode it would erase all runs on the board. Since there’s quite a bit of runs we don’t want to attempt that. So if you click on the full game selection near the logo it should show another area called levels and hard mode should be labeled in there for access.

Hopefully you all enjoy this new update and I’m curious to see if anyone is even brave enough to tackle hard infinite towers or hard cargo bay. Good luck

We are now officially switching our timers on the speedrun.com page to be based off NOT the in-game timer, but rather real time. This is due to lots of complaints and confusion on the in-game timer offset from the real time. in runs, the "IGT" stands for: "In-game Timer." We will now include real time for your runs. All past runs are converted.

So I know you all seen that double shot was basically removed almost fully. Thankfully not for custom room. All bow related quest in Boss Central will not be removed since we were able to discover a way to bring it back. Wasn't too difficult to work around it. So any and all bow related levels will remain untouched.

So due to the most recent discovery with Rec Room we are allowing that all runs that were rejected due to the patch can be allowed once again. If a new issue like this was to happen again we will archive the runs instead of rejecting them. Lastly just a friendly reminder to read the rules for when you are to submit a run.

You may notice lots of runs have been removed from the categories. This is because of the recent removal of the Double Shot. I wish there was a different way for this but it has to go. Sorry.

Hello everyone, we have updated our rules to the standards of the rec room speedrun main page. The new rules that were added are as follow,

*if you have a top 3 run you are required to show world scale.

*no using less than 95% world scale

*no spin walking

As we know, the timer on Boss Central is not accurate to real times. And ive tried fixing this issue but cannot quite get it fixed. Due to this, I from now on will not base runs of their REAL time, and instead we will be using what the in-game time shows. The only time we will NOT allow a run with our timer, is if it is FAR too slow or too fast.

(Example: Boss Central timer shows 1:15, but real time was actually 1:40. We will use the 1:15)

So I am basing this off the main categories of speedrunning. But we are going to allow the bow glitch to be used in speedrunning any bow related game. But if In the future they patch this bug we will remove runs associate with the glitch.

Due to the new recent update with Rec Room we will not be accepting any runs that are done using the bow. The update has caused some glitches throughout many parts of the game and the major one being infinite shooting the bow without the use of extendo. So from this day till 5/22/2023 we will not accept runs. Levels that are not to be submitted are as follows: Main stage, Hallowed hallways, Goblin lab, Goblin manor, Goblin Castle, Fort Frosty, Goblin city.

I have decided to add in something that might gave people a little more of a challenge. I have added in 3 new marathons. The new marathons are as follows: -Bow Master Mararthon -Whip Master Marathon -Lazer Master Marathon I realized that the main marathon will take for ever to speedrun and figure no one will try that for a while. So I decided to break the marathon down a little bit. The main marathon will stay in case anyone is crazy enough to try it. So if you are up for the challenge give the new marathons a try. View the rules to see what levels you will have to speedrun to complete one of these marathons.

We have just added in the VR and Screen modes into their own separate categories. Now you can either submit a run as a screen mode or on VR or mixed. You can either now resubmit your run to the proper category or we can swap it for you.
