here's the method for downpatching

reason for running on 1.1 is because the following skips/tricks have been patched on 2.3/2.1. 4-2 boulder skip out of bounds. 4-3 mine cart skip out of bounds. 5-1 Island skip out of bounds. 5-3 using a grenade to blow open the shutter door from the wrong side on the 3rd container door during the U3 segment. 5-4 checkpoint reload out of bounds. shoving your weapon through enemies such as the garrador to shoot the plagas.

everything else such as air walking etc, still works in 2.3/2.1.

This Requires a PC/laptop to do this. not sure if this can be done using mobile.

you WILL Need to back up your Save file, by plugging your quest into the pc, check your quest to allow files to be accessed on your pc. then on your pc, go into (Quest/android/data/com.armature.vr4/files/savegame.sav) <- just the save file is all you need.

1. Get sidequest (advanced installer) from this link, if you dont already have it. https://sidequestvr.com/setup-howto

2. Open SideQuest either on your headset (preferably) or on your pc and search for QuestAppVersionSwitcher and Sideload it into your Quest

3. Once it's finished, open QuestAppVersionSwitcher, on the Quest it will be in Unknown Sources in the drop down menu at the top of your App menu

4. Give QuestAppVersionSwitcher access to files and select the 'back' arrow at the top left and then 'Skip setup assistant'

5. Select tools & options, scroll down and login to your meta account (Required)

6. Select the Backup tab, then change game and select com.armature.vr4, scroll down and name the backup, checking the box below 'Only backup app data' will only backup your game progress and Not the entire Version of the game so it's upto you and how much space you have. Select create backup

7. Select the downgrade tab, then select the Reload button and search Resident evil 4, then select Details and scroll down until you see Version 1.1 and download it and follow the prompts. Afterwards, go back into Backup tab and select version 1.1 and Restore Backup, Follow prompts.

then put your quest on, load up Re4vr until you reach the main menu, then quit the app, then using your pc, go into (quest/android/data/com.armature.vr4/files) and delete the new default save called savegame.sav and replace it with your backup save that you copied prior.

that's it, you've successfully downpatched Re4vr, at any point you wish to go back to 2.3, just start up the app and select "update now"
