The rules for "First death" under "Normal game" and "Apocalypse mode" currently have the same rules yet the records timers start at different times! "Normal game" records (and every other record) start on accepting a "new game" as per the rules. However the current records for "Apocalypse mode" are all "retrys" not "new games" as per the rules and "normal mode". Unfortunately I only found this out as I was about to submit a run for 2nd place on "First death (Apocalypse mode)" at 4.68 and discovered mine starts from a "new game" and the current records do not! So now i'm wondering is my record a new WR or inadmissible?!?

Apocalypse mode isn't unlocked at the start of a new game. It is unlocked at level 5 i believe.

afaik a retry is "accepting a new game" since it proceeds through the new game starting animation before giving you control.

@AsP00n I don't understand how your comment is relevant to when and from where the timer is started? @Faro the timing is different. Restarting from a "new game" rather than a "retry" adds over half a sec (test it yourself you will see). I'm not saying any of this to grab a WR or whatever, I just think there should be consistency across the records for when the timer starts. All other records start from menu and not a retry. Also I wanted clarification because I don't want to waste time trying to set a time with the timer started in the wrong place!

@Peaky there are old run that i didnt delete from having old rules because at one point they didnt have the same rules. just follow the rules and they will be accepted if its started properly.
