Current world record speed run of Popful Mail for the Sega CD

Timer stopped late in recording but on review 1st frame of Overlord at 0 health is 4:59:45.26

Some improvements can still be made. My prior slower run allowed saves before the final 4 bosses. Not sure why this run did not. Might be tied to the run time, or the fact I did not purchase the top tier armor. Will have to investigate.

A more skilled runner can easily shave an hour or more off this time. Splits are off as I forgot to click at acouple points.

Speed run tech - Save jumping (this process may go by another name) the save function saves the location you entered the "area" from (most recent screen transition) excluding entering shops, etc. any time you need to leave an area from the same place you entered you can save after compleeting what needs to be done (grabbing required treasure or triggering story advancement), then load to jump back to the entry of teh area without having to backtrack.

Working designs really upped the difficulty when they ported this for the USA. Basically you deal 1/2 damage, all enemies deal double damage, and in some places enemy health has been upped signifigantly as well.
