This run introduces the Warrior route that I have independently developed.

I was moved by the speech Mekazarium gave at the end of his run at SGDO 2022. Regardless of the drama he was later criticized for, the essence of God-gaming was something I embraced, and helped guide me while I developed this; my very first speedrun. "Leaderboard rankings will come and go." he said, "Another person's limits are not your own, if you look past them and strive to only better yourself, a fast time will follow naturally."

Chasing only my own tail, I was a blind speedrunner. I had not watched a previous run until I had reached a time of 24:26 on August 3rd. unofficially beating the WR.

I give credit to the original run by newby24 to skip shopping in the Drowned Nations (saving 30s). And the run by lavaoclock which led to discovering the CS skip that plays at Ravels death (saving 22s). After implementing these changes to my run, and developing consistent execution strategies I reached a time of 20:39 on Aug 17th.

I continue to play as if I were playing a guitar solo to a song I enjoy. Torment has been an influential game to me since I was small. Routing this run has been a joy that would keep me up late. I believe I have reached the limits of my potential, and I am submitting this run to make this new WR official.
