Me and my friends did duo cancel the autopsy in the current project X rotation and have a fast time are we able to submit that instead of it being the cancel the autopsy from trial 1?

The Project X cancel the autopsy has Variables, which means that aside from the main objective the whole mission is different (harder). So the time for both missions cant really be compared. Thats what i would say. though the project x mission is harder and having a better time there than normal wr is awesome in itself.

We would highly prefer you don't do anything with Program X outside of Any% since we know its going to change every season of the game.

Just a thought: Even though we know Program X will have new seasons, do we know yet if the developers intend to completely remove the content from the game or might they possibly have a new Progam X but access to "Old Program X" just for fun? Because if so, it would mean these would still be accesssible so might be worth keeping recordings of such for now just in case until we know more? :)

We don't know if they'll remove content, however they will change or add content. We wanna try and keep Program X out of speedruns as much as possible for that reason. Developers have been pretty vague which is why we're being a bit cautious
