Upcoming Release - 100 % rules

The game releases on 2021-07-29 (in 13 days).

Please mark/move all current runs as belonging to the Demo/Prologue as apposed to the full game.

For 100 % I suggest the following rules:

  1. Learn all 4 abilities (dash, surf, teleport, float). [All but surf should be required for all of the puzzles, but it's way slower without it.]
  2. The game has to display 100 % for all areas. [This counts wisdom spheres (=> all puzzles), glyphs, animals, and the map resting spots.]
  3. Solve the final puzzle in each area. [They technically don't count toward the 100 % but are required to progress - maybe there are skips?]
  4. Activate all checkpoints.
  5. Activate the backer shrine in the desert.
  6. Activate all 5 murals. [One per chapter, between areas.]
  7. Activate all glyph pillars. [Outside of areas.]
  8. Discover all animal species. [Some are outside of areas.]
  9. Interact with every animal species once to get energy.
  10. Interact with the companion at all possible spots. (11. Trigger the secret ending cutscene.) [Not yet implemented]

I'm unsure if actions only required for some of the achievements should be included in the rules or not. Some achievements require interacting with animals in specific ways or for some amount of time. But this has no extra gameplay representation (there's nothing special).

I've speedrun the game in the beta (54m 26s). But because it's confidentially and footage is not to be shared I'll not submit my runs.

Probably I'll have to update it on the release day, but maybe not. (It was more or less stable between beta versions, but not on all of them.)

It counts the time from the start of the first loading screen to the start of the loading screen before the final cutscene (and optionally splits on chapter transitions). This makes sense, because inputs during loading times do have an effect on the players position after the following cutscene (its impact was reduced with a patch, but the effect is still there a bit).

I could adjust it to end after the final cutscene before the credits, if that's preferred.
