-EDIT- This works ONLY for the Steam PC release. It will NOT work for consoles. You can run any patch of this game and get competitive times, however it is currently believed that patch 1.0 is faster for full game speedruns of Nefarious, as such this guide will tell you how to "unpatch" your game to 1.0!

This guide will ONLY work if you already own the game on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/448290/Nefarious/

1. Open your browser and type the following into the url bar: steam://open/console

• This will open Steam's dev console!

2. In the Steam console type the following: download_depot 448290 448291 4046642203546549248

• This will download patch v1.0 from the Steam servers! You will not see it downloading in your downloads list but it IS downloading (shown by the "CURRENT" bandwidth usage).

3. Navigate to your Steam installation.

• By default on Windows 7 this is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam

4. Now open the following folders: steamapps > content > appid_448290 > depotid_448291

• In here you will find patch v1.0 of Nefarious! You can copy/paste this over your regular installation of Nefarious and launch through Steam or launch directly from Nefarious.exe in this folder.

To repatch your game to 1.1 simply verify the integrity of your game files through Steam. This will automatically redownload patch 1.1.
