After watching the TAS for this game, I noticed the TASer saying something about 'hijacking' an enemy turn. So I tried this kind of thing myself to see how it works. I actually did it!! I will be sure to post a video of it in a little bit. I was just really astonished that it worked, so I decided to post about it here first.
Here it is.
This trick would be able to be used on 5 fights for the non frog glitch runs: Knight, Horse piece, King piece, Quirrell and Voldemort. There are more fights where enemies are faster than you but you aren't able to do the trick if there is more than one enemy in the fight. For example, first rat is faster than you(and aside from the fact that the other rats are slower than you) you wouldn't be able to skip. But the better one is for the Devil's Snare where all of the enemies are faster than you, because there is more than one enemy on screen you cannot start the fight immediately skipping their turns.
Whaterver the fight you need to have mucus ad nauseam to make it worth so it makes this usefull, isn't it? quite interesting for later fights tho :D
Hey everyone, it was found that using Bizhawk for HP2GBC seems to save time on text mashing (my assumption is less lag), the exact amount it saves is unknown but it seems to be between 10 to 15 seconds throughout the run.
