Hello, My name is Zack. I'm new to Speedrun.com but not new to the world of speedrunning. I need help figuring something out, is there a way i can get a mod to accept my submission without video evidence from youtube or twitch, But the raw footage sent directly to the mod? My internet is very poor, It would take ages to upload a video and it sucks all WIFI in our house when i do. So i was wondering if there was a way i could make a submission by sending the raw speedrun footage directly to a mod. If you can help please let me know, And if this is the incorrect place to put this please redirect me to a speedrun help forum thanks.
How do you plan on giving a mod the raw footage? Like what’s your plan to get the mod the video without uploading it to a video streaming site?
If you’re actually asking if you can do something like burn your run to a DVD and mail it to a mod, then no, nobody is going to allow that or find that to be acceptable. If an LB requires video proof, you’ll need to upload it to Youtube.
If you are talking about mailing to the mod, no, no one will accept that.
If you are running on PC and send a raw .mp4 to them then maybe? It depends on the community and how you plan to send them the raw footage
Yeah, I'm talking about recording my speedrun on OBS and sending it through discord or whatever the mod chooses so he can confirm the run is legit.
If thats the case, you will need to ask the moderators of the specific game you are running.
Must have missed this when it came up... but uh... you realize that to send this run to somebody over Discord or whatever (which won't work, btw, Discord's file size limit is extremely low) you still have to upload it, right? It's not gonna be any faster than just uploading it to YouTube, which is an objectively better solution for everyone involved.
Can you submit a run without a vidio? if not, I cant submit a run. unless i can record without a capture card?
