Hey all, I've been following speedrunning for many years at this point but this is my first forum post on here - so please bear with me in case my question is stupid. ;)

I'm not sure I understand how gossyo's current WR could go on to take first place in the Any% category, even though there's a dedicated Any%JP category. Now I understand that this run technically qualifies because it is a 52 Death Glitch category run. But by definition, it can not fairly be compared to a run of the US version of the game, due to the shorter Japanese dialogue for example, and especially when it is a run on WiiVC vs. an actual SNES run.

Can you explain how this works?
