Missile Skip Guide

Ight If your gonna play this game FAST you gotta do it right so here's the levels that you absolutely have to skip if you want a decent time along with some tips. Waves with a "( )" around them aren't necessary for getting a decent time but they are the extra levels that I skipped along with the the main ones to get sub 17. 

Pluto: Waves 4 & 7 
If you're just shy of getting a missile in wave 6 you should be fine getting the last few in wave 7 but try to do it ASAP since if it takes too long you'll have to reset.

Neptune:  Waves 16 & 17 
DO NOT SKIP THE ROCKS. 

Uranus: Waves 25 & 27 
The rocks are also not to be skipped. 

Saturn: Waves 34 & 37 (35) 
If possible try to skip 35, but if you can't that's fine. 

Jupiter: Maybe wave 47?
You don't NEED to skip any waves in this chapter, however there's a 3-ish second time save skipping any wave in the chapter. It's really important that you leave that chapter with at lease 2-3 missiles. 

Rocks: Dealer's Choice
Pick one wave and skip it, it doesn't really matter unless you have less than 3 missiles at the start of the chapter. In that case don't skip any.

Mars: Wave 64, (66 & 67)  
Yup this is why you need to hold on to at least two rockets. 

Earth: N/A 
No rockets needed. Just play good 

Venus: Waves 86 & 87 (85)
It's faster to also skip 84 but it's not needed unless you're going for the record. 

Mercury: Wave 94 (95-97) 
94 at its best is as harmless as any other rock level that I say not to skip, but at its worse it's the longest wave in the game. Not Worth/10. Aside from that if you can try to skip waves 95-97, but make sure you have at least 1-2 missiles saved. 

The Sun: 105-107 & 110 (104)
By wave 104 you should have at least 4 rockets. 3 for 105-107 and one extra for clearing the chickens in the 3rd act of the final boss.

Pluto.

Pluto is really stupidd. So stupid that it needs its own guide...

Despite it being the first chapter in the game, it is easily the hardest one to play optimally. This chapter serves as the backbone to the entire run, and playing it sub-optimally will result in you starting the run over. A lot. However with that out the way, optimal is more lenient than you would think. You can be on a good pace as long as you either: Finish the chapter really fast or get enough good RNG that the time lost can be made up for in later chapters with the help of better powerups. 

But that's only the end of the chapter. What about the rest of it? 

The hard part about Pluto is that you need to get a lot done in a short amount of time.  Since it's the start of the game you start on the lowest firepower with no food collected. Before wave 4 you have to AT LEAST collect enough food (50) for a missile and collect two ion blaster/powerup drops. The missile is by far the most important thing to collect, since skipping wave 4 with the missile saves a crazy amount of time. 

Now that wave 4 is skipped you should be somewhere around the 50 second mark and the next challenge of Pluto arises. Skipping wave 7. 

Depending on how much chicken you collect getting the next missile can range anywhere from easy to very difficult. Not to mention you're trying to do this fast so collecting chicken isn't the only thing to worry about. Depending on your luck you might run into another powerup that will give you the spread shot that will make finishing waves 5 and 6 easier, but chicken collection a bit harder. If done correctly you should be able to get to and missile skip wave 7 by about 1:17. 

The rest of the chapter is straightforward from there. Shoot the asteroid and defeat the boss and you should be done with this chapter at in about 1:40 on the higher end which 100% could be record pace if you have enough firepower to save time in later chapters. However with really good RNG and execution this split can be done in 1:30.

So YOU wanna run this obscure ass 2002 game? (Basic Novice Guide)

Since there's nothing here ill make a starter's guide for all 2 of you who know about this game and haven't ran it yet. I'm MoBee and in this guide ill go over the basics of this run.

A quick preface about this run: It's EXTREMELY RNG/Luck dependent and most runs at WR pace might die in the first couple chapters because of bad RNG. If that's not your thing, I super understand and I hope you can find another way to enjoy the game. 

With that out the way lets talk about the general functions of the game. 

The game requires you to defeat all the chickens in the current wave to advance to the next wave. This can be done in one of two ways: 
1) Shoot them down with a weapon 
2) Use a Missile to defeat them all instantly*
     *Missiles are only available to be used after 25 chickens have been collected
Pretty simple stuff but to beat this game as fast as possible we need to go over the two main speed strats, Missile Management and RNG.

Missile Management:
When you defeat a chicken in the game they will most likely drop either a drumstick (Worth 1 unit ) or a roast (Worth 10 units). After you collect 25 units the game rewards your hording with a missile and they're crazy busted. Missiles not only defeat all chickens on screen, but also defeats any chicken in the wave. Essentially allowing you to skip the entire wave. MM is basically collecting and using missiles to beat waves that take too much time to beat the normal way and as of now MM is the best way to beat this game fast. General rule of thumb is any meteor shower or 7th wave of a chapter should be skipped. However that all depends of your RNG.

RNG: 
RNG is a huge part of this run unfortunately and even worst than that we have 0 clue on how it works or how to manipulate it. So the best way to get a good run is to press buttons and hope RNGesus loves you. 

Lastly I'll go over the collectible weapons. 

Ion Blaster: 
+All Around Weapon
+Really good spread shot starting at level 3
+Super Reliable 
+Quick firerate
+Decent Damage
+Will do your laundry and cook food    
-Trades power for coverage and speed
-Weakest weapon at max power
-Not great for bosses

+Strongest weapon at any level that isn't max

-Virtually no spread shot till max power
- Doesn't clear regular waves as fast as the ion blaster
