oh boy where do i even begin with this run, this 1.3 second improvement over the former record truly has its history.

it all started on the 2nd of october when silly little me just "casually" discovered what's arguably the biggest and hardest trick in this game's speedrunning scene, before i say anything about the run you need to understand the trick that takes place in the infamous stage 47, once you get there instead of going where you are supposed to go you go to the left and jump on a conveniently placed killbrick onto the very corner of a pillar that leads you to the top of the stage, and this is just the easy part because in case i haven't menzioned yet this trick is so RNG you actaully have no idea, after you get to the top of the stage you have to do a high jump to get on top of a wall with another conveniently placed killbrick right on top of it, from there you have to jump from the edge of the wall and barely land on the other side, this part is so RNG it's actually terrible and is the main reason it took me a month to implement this trick in runs, now that i've finished talking about the trick now it's time to talk about the run itself.

this is by far the worst and most underwhelming world record this game has ever seen and i truly mean it, the trick itself saved almost 5 seconds but i saved just a bit more than 1 and the worst thing is i was on a literal world record pace entering stage 47 but i managed to pull off the worst and cringiest timeloss ever by failing to get properly on top of the stage and having to spend 2+ seconds trying to get back at doing the trick and still when i got the trick and landed safely on stage 48 i had a mix of stress, happiness, sadness and most importantly regret.

i truly hate bringing this category in this stage because now to beat this shitty piece of garbage that is my wr you have to introduce this luck based trick into ur runs to have a chance of beating this, i will try to beat this tomorrow.
