Ohio, USAmy issue: I mod a small (4 runners) game that is on 4 platforms (PC, Switch, Xboxone, PS4). I did a rough timing of the loads on 3 of the platforms (12s-22s-34s), Should such a small game be concerned with removing those load times? if not, when would we be concerned with removing them.
for a more general question, how does a game decide when to remove load times?
so there is a new DLC count out and it is going to have an endless mode. if there is no online leader board, would this be a place to post ones score?
Hello. I decided to learn this game. I am interested in doing a 100% run as the routing of it sounds fun to me. I might try an any% as well.
Congrats to you on your run. But for me it is bitter sweet! I waited a month and had to get the site admins to make me a mod to get this game (revised) on here. and now I am 3rd!?!?
but I also want to thank you. for convincing me to run it more. I don't know if I can compete for the WR anymore, I was stuggling to get sub 45. but I enjoy it enough to keep trying.
I do have a question ( if you read this) you said that with the right angle you can jump over the gorged worm. do you have video of that? I tryed to do something like that for 30 min and concluded it couldn't happen. would love to be proved wrong!
also, does the wall jump not work on the switch, or does it not really save any time? (tut skip)
I still need to test it to see if it was just a fluke or not but.... doing the firefly puzzle in the alter. you know the 4 different puzzles.
I did the first 2, then I did the last one and got credit for doing all of them. so I skiped the 3 pattern.
that got me thinking, what if the trigger to move on is embedded in the last pattern? will it work after just the first puzzle?

I just finished a game casually today. During my play, I accidentally skipped something. (discovering speed strats). As per my custom, when I finish a game, I come here to watch the speedrun. However, The skip I found was not used, nor even mentioned on the game page. The last run was over 6 months ago and the game page in inactive. no discord either.
I might try my hand at a run soon, but am undecided as I didn't like the game enough to grind out a great run.
so my question: Should I let the others know about this skip, or keep it to myself until I decide if I am going to run the game?
I am starting to go thru withdrawls! Due to a crappy work week, and some personal issues with my ex, I have not been able to play, even casually, any game in 4 whole days!
I need help coping! how do you cope? how long have you not gamed?
I know it would be a marathon of a run, But I saw a video of a guy that beat all four darkest dungeons by week 16.
so would anybody be interested in actually doing a legit run like that? what about an all bosses run? all caretakers run?

I know of 4 time saves. (sorry I cant post videos)
1st is a minor save in the tutorial puzzle. just run to the wall below the ladder and mash jump. you can get a double/wall jump and reach the ladder. if you get is fast enough (it is easy) you save some time not grabbing the letter to jump off of.
2nd: this one is the hardest skip. and saves about 25 seconds. the puzzle is the one with two snap/ span. the intended way is to drop the ladder down, turn on the snap/ span turn it off when it is open then make the jumps. however, with precise jumps you can just make the jumps without the ladder or turning on the switch. it can actually be one cylced. good time save.
3rd]. know as the escape skip. Found by @MaturedSinner . instead of doing the puzzle you can push the "c" to the left to get to the lower level. push it to the left again and keep following it. during the transition from bottom to top, you can jump and make the hero disappear. the just run to the right until the camera zooms in then pause and retry to warp to the next cutscene. good time save.
4th} I call it the sort skip. it is also realatively easy. It is the numbered puzzle where you make sort/order. to make a bridge to get across the gap. you need to also protect yourself from the gun. I use cover. right before the puzzle there is a small cutscene.
how to skip; right before the cut scene starts, jump forward into the letter maker. you can start to make "cover" during the cut scene. use the cover to get to the floating number blocks. with good jumping you can get to the lower right most block. jump off of it to the right as high as you can. you will die. you will respawn on the higher ledge as if the puzzle was completed.

as far as I know those are the time saving tricks. other than that it is just clean platforming and puzzle solving.
I submitted a run over a month ago. tried to contact the only mod on twitter to no avail. how would i go about getting my run approved. I also want to do more runs but dont want to wait months to see them get approved. I would be grateful for any help.

hello. I am wanting to do a Typoman revised run, however that game does not exist on this site. there is a typoman, not revised and there are some diffences. I posted in the typoman forums and have not got a reply yet. I even reached out to the only mod of typoman on twitter, no response.
so I pose the question here....should the revised edition be a separate game, or a subcat of the original?
also, how would I go about doing that?
would a ps4 edition be a different catorgory or a new game? there are some differences.

Other Games I like are Skyrim, any Mario game, Lost kingdoms, Xmen Legends. I look forward to the friendly competition of ones trying to be the best brings out!
