I made this demo of what a theoretical glitchless run could look like in a TAS setting. Route is a tad different to RTA at the start with the money route and sword choice. Definitely some more time to save here, but this could be a useful resource
Saves 367 frames (6.12 seconds) over current RTA WR. Level 1 - 23 frames Level 2 - 40 frames Level 3 - 0 frames Level 4 - 0 frames Level 5 - 232 frames Level 6 - 72 frames
If you do the 9.88 route, then pause and unpause frame perfectly either on the frame you let go of right or the frame after, you'll get a 9.84. If you're slow by a frame you get a 9.86

Update: You can do the pause a bit earlier. Anywhere from about halfway through holding right up until the frame you let go of right.
Double update: I made a video tutorial for this
You can make a hack where Bridge 2 doesn't autoscroll by changing the ROM address at 156A3 to 04 (with a hex editor). I'll also put an ips patch in resources.
This could be interesting as a misc category or something? Since it'd be way more enjoyable to run. I'd be interested to hear what everyone thinks
New zip off the second platform more info in the yt description:
I'm trying to replicate the glitch where the exit animation for the N. Tropy boss is skipped (for an example see the SGDQ 2014 run)
So far I've had luck with SFX on and it seems to be a frame perfect blue vortex cutscene skip. I haven't had luck with SFX off and wanted to ask if anyone has done it with SFX off or with any other levels/bosses?
I tried TASing the first track on U/E/B version. I had 0'45''96. This was surprising since it was "slower" than real time. Then I tested to see what happens if I slow down just before the finish line and I got 0'45''41.
It seems that the centiseconds are inverted and a time of 0'45"96 is actually 0'45"04 and 0'45"41 is actually 0'45"59 for example.
