The kind of categories people suggest for this game are super arbitrary and should not be on a category extensions leaderboard.

I definitely don't think assisted runs have any chance on being added onto here. As well as for Krok and onward, it's hard to judge what equipment would be considered as the base for each world as individual runs, just too many arbitrary factors to setting these things up. This has been discussed numerous times over the years, I doubt any of it will be added.

No, ideas and categories with arbitrary rulesets and/or objectives will not be added, there are no plans to add anymore categories to this leaderboard.

Forgot to mention about 4 months ago, but Okra and I have stopped maintaining submissions for this. There have not been many submissions since 2019 and this has become pointless to continue manually updating over time. So for now future submissions will not be updated.

Until someone does it, no reason to add it, this has been stated before, and there's good reason no one has even thought of trying it lol.

RTA ties are retimed with IGT to split the difference, this and the above post were basically stated within my first post of this thread. If you have more questions, you could ask them in the discord server.

To stay consistent with every other run, and to not really waste the mods time while verifying, it is preferred that runners not submit with milliseconds for Real time, however milliseconds for In-game time is completely fine.

It has been included as a secondary timing method for quite a while now if you wish to have it. It will most likely never be promoted to primary due to the fact that the large majority of runners back then and now still do not care enough to bother with retiming their runs for accurate IGT, hence why since the beginning it was never a requirement (imagine having to manually retime 30+ runs every day of release month), and many of them made the switch to the Digital version anyway. Some of the moderators have begun converting a few categories to have all runs include IGT but that has slowly halted (manually retiming IGT for ~2750 runs is not fun) as again, this is for a minority.

No online categories outside of All Challenges w/ Online will ever be added.

Snake Skip in Halberd Battleship Interior, originally performed in a TAS with Meta Knight by DyllonStej in August of 2018: Then theorized with a RTA viable method with Snake by Garry2Scary in November of 2018: Later optimized by Desch in February of 2019: Is a skip in which you traverse out of bounds with Snake in the portal and button room with a combination of Up B and self-inflicting C4 hits to reach the blocked off door skipping the portals and buttons. Pulling this strat off saves 20 seconds over picking Meta Knight (also counting for first load) and completing the room as intended with current strats.

That's what I mentioned in the post above, the current Shadow Tower category would just be split into Legacy and Current, Current being basically a pure boss rush.

There never was and there is no need to make a guide for it, no category uses it.

Since recent updates that made Shadow Towers into a joke, I am unsure with what to do with these categories and future submissions. There have been in-game leaderboards for the bosses specifically and now the Shadow Tower is just the bosses. A full Shadow Tower run seems to be the only relevant run for this leaderboard now, making the other categories stuck with legacy runs. I am waiting for future updates to offer new reasonable categories, if you have any ideas that current updates offer please let me know.
