I updated the link, it shouldn't ever expire. With regards to the autosplitter, the download through livesplit has been updated for 1.584 and should work. Not sure if you have issues with the autosplitter, but feel free to describe your issues, either here or in the discord.
You can download the updated version through livesplit as well now.
Nobody really runs different categories though, or at least I basically never see anything suggesting otherwise. If we are to add a leaderboard for a category it should be interesting enough that there is some sort of competition, before there is a leaderboard here. Those are my thoughts on categories anyway.
It doesn't have to be an official category for people to run it. I would go so far to say that if it isnt interesting enough that people would not run it first, it doesn't have any chance of becoming an official category. You can still run it, post your runs here, compete with your times. That let's us judge if there is actually potential
I would say make a thread with a category you would like to see, explain the rules and show your own run of it. If people are genuinely interested in running the category they can reply with their own runs. Saying "I'd run it"/"This would be cool" isnt enough in my opinion. Actually do it. Just my thoughts on new categories
This is the URL you put in your submission, youtube says there is no video available on that link. Is it set to private maybe?
What even is space%? Can you elaborate?
I think the current rules are pretty clear, maybe the definition of accidental could be clarified, as I see it it means not pause buffering a bunch of times to get a near perfect credit skip. If there were strats that utilized pausing, in my opinion we would have to switch to real time to account for the time taken, but there aren't any.
You have two splitters, probably one in the split menu that was autodownloaded and one you added manually through the layout settings. Disable/Remove one of them
Boo me when you submitted a run ;)
Not sure how much use they are going to be, since you have to switch between the splitting, and from what i have seen snake runs are often normal runs at the start. Maybe it will get more popular
Its supposed to work on steam versions, and does so for most people, from what I know. I heard from two other people that it did not work for them, but I couldn't replicate the issue on my end.
Sorry
