Those are some fairly uncommon glitches, but basically it’s an actor’s animation being where it shouldn’t be. In the first clip, that’s the animation of a fire geyser from the libra area being used by the blowhog, and the second one is the circle from the SS Dolphin (although I’ve never seen it hover in the air like that). No one really knows the specifics of what causes that to happen.
You're allowed to softmod with pretty much anything you want as long as it doesn't increase performance which would speed up loading times in your runs. You can even install nintendont and us it to practice even though it speeds up loads when you use it to load the game as long as your actual runs are on disc through either the disc channel or a loader that does not increase performance like swiss.
You're allowed to use any region of game you want, although getting a JP game to work on a US gamecube is a lot harder than on Wii and I think needs hardware manip. If you're gonna use a different region's game, I would definitely recommend using a Wii.
He's not gone on YouTube. Sub to his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/diddykong14
You can actually almost use that to get to where the bianco 6 loading zone would be, but not quite
Well this was fun to read. Lots of confidence in an attempt to cover up ignorance.
It's used at the beginning of 120 Shine runs right after you beat shadow mario for the first time.
I believe the player's choice version should still have all the glitches that the regular versions have, but don't quote me on that. To answer your original question, you should probably buy the Japanese version. It is about the same price (and actually in many cases less expensive) than the US or PAL versions, and it is the fastest for every category due to loads except for any% in which it is about tied with PAL. You can get it on amazon for around 30 dollars https://smile.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000065C92/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1514535413&sr=8-1&keywords=super+mario+sunshine+japanese or you can try to find it for a bit cheaper on ebay. There are techincally 2 japanese versions, but the one you don't want is exceedingly rare, so you probably don't have to worry about getting the wrong one (I've been running this game for over 3 years and don't know of any western runners who have found the rare version).
tbh I'm not sure this has ever come up. Might be better to ask it in help or general in the discord server. People don't check these forums very often.
The only way to damage gooper blooper is to pull his nose to a certain length, his eyes are just a visual thing. Also, if you try to grab his nose while there's still goop on it, Mario slips off of it.
You are correct. Although it is useful because it means you can reload the level on practice codes before the shine grab cutscene starts if you accidentally grab it.
I actually suggest amazon; just a lot more streamlined and easier.
Also idk if this is fixable, but I'm using the NTSC-U codes and loading sirena 5 loads the sirena 4 casino
Mousecopp these work independently. Also one funny thing weird about the codes but not a really big deal, if you mash A to skip the cutscenes in Pinna 1 it resets the game, though that might not be fixable just because those cutscenes are weird.
I would suggest just doing any% no major skips. It's current any% except without gelato skip or pinna 5 skip. You do skip bianco 1, but there's not trick to skipping that, so it's not like it would be hard to learn or anything. That said, I would also recommend at least learning gelato skip. Just look up some guides and give it like an hour or two and it should seem a lot easier.
Oh also, here's a bunch of level guides https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19wxG81nHkHlGVPRJZJKp8VcxSeGbRZnKmR9lN7jJSwM/pubhtml#
I did one blind run then learned gelato skip and yoshi skip and did runs with those while learning all the other strats
There's actually another way to clip in using a papaya (though it's incredibly inconsistent), so if you just lured a stu near the gate then clipped in using the papaya it could also happen, though yeah, it's almost certainly slower
I'm still confused about what the morgana/magana cutscene is from SBK's post. Is he trying to say the flood cutscene or something?
Kinda stole that from 1ups but yeah
