Yeah, life's been kicking my ass XD I DID try to do a run, and was near the end, but ended up dying in a really stupid way.

Anyways, i'm going to be trying again soon. I've never done any Speedrun attempts (outside of that first failed one), so I'm looking forward to this one XD

Quick question, I'm going for the Demon Path one first. I notice that there's two categories for it, and it would seem that both are the same category? Any% Demon Path and Any% Demon Path New Game Plus? But the first one in the rules also states that it starts from new game + so am unsure if that's just a mistake or there's a difference I'm missing? Either way, I'm definitely doing a NG+ route.

Hi, I'm Shadowfyst997, one of the mods of the Soda Dungeon Discord(and technically the Reddit, though Shawn mostly manages that one himself.)

I recently came across the leaderboards here and shared it in the server. We were quite surprised to find that there was a speedrunning community for SD1 and SD2, and some people discord side have expressed interest in running the games, though the focus was on SD1. Would love to see a Dimension 1-11 speedrun, lol.

Anyways, I was hoping to open a line of communication here with the mods! Don't necessarily need or want mod status here, though I won't turn it down. Might be able to rope another one or two of the discord mods into helping out as well ;)

Hi everyone! Don't know if anyone will see this ever as this game's speedrunning community is virtually nonexistant, barring 2 runs from 6 and 7 years ago in one category XD

I intend to take both of the unclaimed categories, and then, once I've got a proper route in place, take over the first category of a fresh save.

The two NG+ runs won't be fully optimized, but it's my hope that someone comes along and challenges me for them, so I can optimize the run ;)

I'll be using the pc version, but I also have an emulated version I can do too.

I shall become the best(by default) Soul Nomad player in the world, and, hopefully with enough renewed interest from other players, the no longer just by default best ^.^
