Hey guys, so here is a video of something I found while training.

Actual demonstration of the glitch starts around 2:46 with as much a detailed explanation as i can provide.

So as i mention in the video, i don't feel too good about using a glitch only I seem to be able to replicate in a run, so that is why i did not post my last PB where it did actually occur. However, Tohelot now agrees that it is valid as i explained how to do it and actually showed it in a video.

What do you guys think ?

Yeah, I suppose for most people the first speedruning experience is fiding out a game you like won't necessarily be a game you like to speedrun.

Impressive that you found it. I integrated the 2 cocoons version in my speedrun route and it really does save a lot of time at the expense of, like, maybe 6 seconds or so crafting them, since gathering materials can be done without losing much time. If done properly, only one of the green... glowing... globes (can't remember their name right now) costs you a second or so.

Insect Eggs and backup Raw Embers to keep being able to craft the amber potion in the last level are basically free. Guess I picked up the game at the exact right time since you seem to have found it not so long ago.

As an added bonus your skip makes the worst level in the game in my opinion a breeze, so huge shoutouts to both of you.

Hi, I've been looking for a game to speedrun that I wouldn't abandon before I even finish learning it for quite some time now and finally settled on Styx: Shards of Darkness.

It was a good way for me to tell myself "you can do it !" and i could indeed so here I am.
