Idea is interesting, but a bit flawed, in the sense that Google Minesweeper is supposed to be NG (No Guess), but its no guessing algorithm is not perfect.

That means that every board is supposed to be solvable without 50/50 or guesses, but a few of them are, meaning someone with just a little bit of luck could get a virtually endless winstreak, which has limited interest in my opinion

I think it actually looks very cool, I don't understand why people say it's ugly, the UI changes are not drastic at all

I like the idea, but this should be in category extensions, not in the main google minesweeper category. But you can try the 100% category which is similar, you have to complete a hard, medium and easy run as fast as possible in the order you want.

yep, if you fail, like opening a square with a mine, you lose and your time is not counted.
