Just so that we have a link archived, here's a link to the current fastest TAS:
LattMackey will be running Expert for RGLtv Retrothon on Thursday April 26 at 7:01AM EDT.
For more information: http://rgltv.com/schedule/
We don't have to conform to any norms if we don't want to. This is OUR game!
So LattMackey, you're ready to start the bonus levels?
What does everyone think about adding some of the bonus levels as additional "misc." categories? The rules would depend on the level of course but MOST of them can be done at a quick pace. (The falling fruit/smiley/fireball level probably wouldn't be interesting)
Yeah I'll add those. So far all the submissions I've seen have been using those rules.
Glad to see new runners! In my experience, going out of your way for the smileys is too slow for the reward. It MIGHT be worth getting some to grab the blue hearts, but I suppose we're not supposed to be taking too much damage anyways. I've only been playing Practice so far so the smileys are literally worthless.
You can absolutely use WiiVC. We've categorized the runs by difficulty level but times in higher difficulties count toward the lower difficulties.
I was just made a moderator. Categories are now set properly. I made an executive decision to include qualifying times in harder difficulties count for lower difficulties as the major difference between them is number of levels. If you disagree let me know and we'll figure this out.
Hi. Presently @jeffsledge is the moderator for Bonk's Revenge (TG-16) He doesn't have any times posted for this game and hasn't responded to the only forum post, asking for proper categories to be made. (Which was posted a year ago) Additionally he's not regularly checking submitted runs, nor is he responding to tweets about said game.
I'd like to offer to moderate this game and would request that perhaps @inkject could also be added as a moderator as he's the only person who presently has a time on the board at all. (I have not talked to him about this and am not asking on his behalf but instead out of respect)
I agree. inkject has an intermediate run listed under Any% and I just submitted a practice run under Any%. The two aren't equivalent and shouldn't be compared.
