Any% Guide with NUN1 save file bonus in mind

This guide will be going over strats i use in most of the fights, with menuing for item stock in mind. You can still use most of these strats without item stock, but it usually is slower/faster without it depending on luck with how much the CPU uses substitution jutsus or just CPUs being really aggro in general out of no where.

IStk = Menuing for item stock used in every fight

Naruto vs Jiraiya 1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Set up a level 3 ultimate and charge at Jiraiya with it. Don't out spin him and just let the first part of the rasengan play out. You'll get the nine-tailed buff and will kill him much quicker than you would without it. Hit jump twice to do an air dash and set up ooo + o↓ combos on him. Use ↓oo combos after landing while Jiraiya is in tumble to deal a bit more extra damage. If Jiraiya blocks your air combo, then do the same ooo + o↓ combo while grounded after, or use ↓oo to guard break him. Rinse and repeat until his health is at 0.

Item Stock menuing (for those running with NUN1 money bonus
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the Jiraiya fight, walk all the way back to the village gates and talk to the peddler(guy in the red suit just outside the entrance). Use your money to buy 99 Armor Breaks since you'll be using a lot for each fight incase one of them misses, and buy 60 Food Pills.

Chunin exams battles (Naruto vs Neji, Shikamaru vs Temari, and Sasuke vs Gaara)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Istk(If using item stock, go to the menu and add 3-5 armor breaks and 1 food pill)

These 3 fights all take place in the same area, so the general strat will be about the same for all of them. Mash X to jump and quickly air dash towards your opponent and do a ooo + →o combo while in midair to push them away from the pit and make them go up against the wall. Be careful not to mash too much when pulling this off or you might trigger an additional blow which will put them back in the center area if you land it. Keep using ooo + →o combos or ooo + ↓o combos to put them in a loop and keep dealing damage till their health reaches 0.

There's a chance they might not end up against the wall and falling into the pit area, so if they do, don't attempt to get them out with air combos. Use ooo + ↓o combos to spike them and deal damage till their health reaches 0.

Sasuke vs Temari
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Istk)

Air dash towards temari and use ooo + →o to push her up against the wall. Do a ↓oo combo after landing for a bit of extra damage if she falls into tumble, then step back and air dash to do a ooo + ↓o combo. Loop this until Temari's health reaches 0.

Shino vs Kankuro
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Safe strat: Use a level 3 ultimate jutsu (done by hitting triangle 3 times then hitting with an attack) and mash through both phases for extra damage. You should be in your ultimate form after which will give you a buff. Air dash towards Kankuro and use ooo + ↓o combos to spike him then do ↓oo for extra damage. Loop this over and over until kankuro's health reaches 0.

Risky strat: (Istk) Use the same loop combo as mentioned in the safe strat without using an ultimate, but be sure to watch out and sub when needed as your attacks will do more hits in your normal form.

The Third Hokage vs Orochimaru
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Istk) For this fight you'll want to knock Orochimaru off of the lookout tower so that he'll receive extra fall damage and respawn in the same spot every time. This can easily be done by air dashing towards Orochimaru and using the ooo + →o combo, which will make him fall off if the whole thing connects onto him. If he doesn't fall off of the tower but is close, use ↓oo combos while standing and he should be pushed off far enough to fall off. When he has about 1/3rd of his health left, use your level 3 ultimate to finish him off since you need to kill him with it to clear this chapter. Go through both button prompts of the ultimate for extra damage, so you ensure you can kill him even if Orochimaru clears one of his button prompts during the ultimate.

Naruto vs Gaara
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Istk) Use your level 3 ultimate on Gaara to get a buff. Air dash towards him afterwards and use your ooo + ↓o combo to spike him. Use oo↓ hits while he's in tumble while standing to deal a bit more extra damage. Repeat until his health is at 0.

Kakashi vs Itachi
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After returning to the village after defeating Gaara and skipping through text, press O to open up a menu. Select customize and use your points to increase Naruto's attack. Talk to kakashi to trigger the next story sequence and begin the next fight

(Istk) Use your level 3 ultimate on Itachi and you'll trigger Kakashi's sharingan mode. His attacks and jutsus will be just like Itachi's for a limited time until Sharingan runs out. While sharingan is active, use ooo then quickly tap up twice and press O to cancel your combo into a Shadow Clone Smash. This strat should work as long as Itachi isn't up against a wall so the clone can get behind him. If you run out of chakra, use your air combos and sub when needed until his heath reaches 0.

Guy vs Kisame
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Istk) Air dash towards kisame and use a ooo + →o combo while in midair to push him up against the wall. Hit him with a ↓oo combo afterwards while he's in tumble to get a tiny bit of extra damage. After he gets up, use ooo while standing then tap up twice and press O to cancel your combo into a Dynamic Entry. This should deal a lot of damage even on block so you're free to keep this loop up if you want even if he blocks it. Repeat the loop until his health reaches 0.

Naruto vs Jiraiya 2-4
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Istk) These fights are all more or less the same, just beat Jiraiya while still having a certain amount of chakra left, so i'll just group them all together since there's only one fight in between all of them that's practically an auto-scroller

Air dash towards Jiraiya and use a ooo + ↓o combo to set him up into a spike loop and use only the first kick of the ↓oo combo for extra damage in case Jiraiya recovers too soon. For the 4th fight with Jiraiya, you need to have your chakra at level 3 to complete the chapter, so if you're too low on chakra from having to sub, hold down while standing to charge some back up till you're at level 3 again.

Sasuke vs Itachi
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The only thing you need to do for this fight is survive until time is up. You don't need to have more health than Itachi or to even win, so the best thing to do is shift between the different levels of the stage. Alternate between holding up/down and pressing X to shift between levels. Itachi will always try to chase after you, but if you shift to the other level as he teleports to try and chase you down, you shouldn't get hit at all.

Naruto vs Tsunade
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before getting into this fight, you should have enough points for a level up. Use your points after beating Jiraiya for the 4th time in the customize menu to give Naruto another attack boost. Talk to the NPCs in the town to trigger the event to make Tsunade appear before fighting her.

Shizune vs Tsunade

Same as Sasuke vs Itachi

Jiraiya vs Orochimaru
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Istk) There's two different strats you can use here, you can use oo and then tap up twice quickly to cancel the combo into a needlejizo, which will deal a good tad bit of damage even on block. Or you can use the usual air dash into ooo + ↓o spike loop. Use a mix of both of these until Orochimaru's health hits 0.

Naruto vs Kabuto
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Istk) For this fight you'll want to be careful since you'll be dealing a lot more damage with your boosted attack (plus item stock if you're using it). Kabuto's health will slowly regenerate which helps for setting up certain damage ranges and giving you a bigger window to kill, though it can be a bit annoying if you don't finish him off. For this fight you'll want to do the usual spike loop a couple times, and his health will be almost exactly low enough to kill him with a level 3 ultimate. If his health is a little bit too high, throw one more combo at him or punch him a couple times to put him in range.

Tsunade vs Orochimaru
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Istk) For this fight you'll want to push Orochimaru into either corner with an air combo up against the tree so you can set up into a new loop. Use oo↓ to guard break him while standing and after a couple hits he should go into spin tumble for a bit. Quickly tap up twice and press O while he is to cancel your combo and you can pull of a Heaven Kick of Pain for massive damage. If all goes well you can rinse and repeat this until his health reaches 0.
