A **Bomb or Berry Jump** is used frequently throughout the run.  They are performed by jumping and starting the buddy slam animation and getting knocked back mid-air to get on top of objects like fences. Note you can't be too close to what you're trying to get on top of, or you'll be knocked away from the object. 
The general method people use is to jump on the 22nd "beep" out of 25 total beeps the berry will make.  Here's an **[example](https://clips.twitch.tv/AbstemiousDifferentTruffleTBCheesePull)**.  

A **Slope Roll** is the other trick used frequently throughout the run.  They can be performed in a number of different ways.
1. Rolling off of a raised platform to continue your roll up a slope. (Used when traversing from Lake to Beach)
2. Jumping, moving slightly toward the slope you are trying to roll up, and slamming at an angle to the wall.  Then roll immediately afterwards to roll up the slope. (Used to access Shipwreck Creek/Beach early)  Here's an **[example.](https://clips.twitch.tv/EnergeticTalentedFiddleheadsRuleFive)**
3. Wedging yourself between an object (like a box) and the slope, jumping, then rolling. (Only used on the slope directly west of the Lake Paywall.)

A **Long Jump** is the last trick that is used fairly frequently throughout the run.  To perform one, start a roll, and jump very quickly afterwards.  If done correctly, it will allow you to gain some extra height/distance on your jump.  It is used for Desert OOB, and Pipe-Man jumps. Impossible Lair save files are compressed and are not readable by a human. This program decompresses save files such that they can be read and written to with your favorite text editor. After the desired changes are made, you can compress the file so that it may be read by the game again.

[section=How To Use]
Loading Steam Save Files: 
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\ and then there will be folder(s) with numbers unique to your Steam profile. In one of those folders, there will be another folder with the number 846870 which is the steam id for Yooka Laylee Impossible Lair. Inside that folder will be a "remote" folder where YLIL saves its save files as .dat files. The name of these save files are slot-patch-#.dat where # is the slot.

Loading Epic Games Save Files: 
Go to C:\Users\You\AppData\LocalLow\Playtonic Ltd\Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, easily accessed by entering this into Run(Win+R): %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Playtonic Ltd\Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

Decompress:
The loaded file will be decompressed and a new file with the name slot-patch-#-Decompressed.dat . Edit this file with your favorite text editor (mine is Notepad++) and then save your changes.

Compress:
The loaded file will be decompressed and a new file with the name slot-patch-#.dat will be made or overwite the one that already exists. The changes you made to the decompressed will now be readable to the game.

Teleport Trainer 1.0

This tool allows you to save Yooka's current position in the game and teleport to that same position at the press of a button. You can also teleport to a position you have memorized/written down by entering the XYZ coordinates into the text boxes. This is useful for glitch hunting or practicing a difficult trick.

Keyboard:
-Slot 1 save: Numpad 4
-Slot 1 recall: Numpad 6
-Slot 2 save: Numpad 1
-Slot 2 recall: Numpad 3
Try toggling your NumLock if these are not working.

Controller: (Works for Xbox 360 controllers so far, I'm trying to get more):
-Slot 1 save: right joystick button, then press right
-Slot 1 recall: right joystick press right
-Slot 2 save: right joystick button, then press left
-Slot 2 recall: right joystick press left
You must enable the controller by checking the "enable controller" checkbox

[section=Preset Positions]
These are known coordinates for useful positions to practice with. Pressing their buttons will save their coordinates to Slot1 and then teleport you to them.

Impossible Lair:
TutEnd = The end of the tutorial
BossStart = The start of every boss fight
P#Start = The start of every section in the Lair
P#End = The end of every section in the Lair
Note: Only one section is loaded at a time. You must open the door at P#End if you want to load into the next section.

Overworld?
You can help make these by using this tool and finding particularly useful locations to practice with. Give me a list of a good number of coordinates paired with button names (9 letters max) before I consider releasing a new version with the new buttons. Otherwise, just write down your favorites
