There's a weird slide cancel I've pulled off a couple of times randomly, but I haven't been able to consistently do it. I got a clip of it just then, u guys have any clues on how to do it?

Just tried it out and it seems like it happens if you hit down and jump at the same time during a slide.

Ty for finding that out! Gl to Tipsy cause thats gonna be hard as on controller

After trying it some more turns out it will also work if you just hold down after starting the slide. Makes it a bit easier to do.
