I agree with this. People just need to get used to the dropdown menu and that would be the end of the problem.

Seems that 30fps on PC it's not the same as 30fps on console and it feels really sloppy and shitty in comparison (there's further technical explanation about this phenomenon if you look for info).

I think the best we can do is add a rule to play with the 60fps lock and that would be it.

Does loading times remain similar just getting +60fps? Or can be EVEN faster if the game goes crazy 200-300-400fps? This seems crazy.

I would love to go to a GDQ but it's ridiculously expensive to travel from Europe to the US.

But yeah, RE5 coop would be really nice to see in that event.

How are you playing the game at 120fps? I believe the game let's you choose 30 or 60, but not above that.

HDD is always going to be faster, specially for the PS3 games if you have the game from PSN, since normally the physical copy runs off the disc + HDD at the same time.

The 360 can install the full game (PS3 only installs part of it, and sometimes, nothing at all) so I don't think it makes a difference vs the downloadable game from the marketplace.

Also, 360/PS3 can't be compared, but I think this is obvious.

Some people said the Steam version messed up some stuff from the original PC release, who knows if the AI is affected too.

RTA is for full-game runs and IGT only for individual levels :)

Exactly, half of these discussions and dramas about categories are in part because we're hindered with this actual speedrundotcom layout. People wants his category of choice be more relevant in the current layout and that means not being in the far right side of the page (which is stupid, because no category is more important than the other, it's the SAME DAMN GAME).

Well it is obvious that it is going to win sooooo... let's talk about the Dolphin build people should use, and specific rules about showing FPS/Frame counter, inputs, etc. so we get this done ASAP

(And to respond to Furry, no, this is only about PC-based GameCube emulation. Trance, the category will be right after GCN, as PS1 emu is right after PS consoles. I'm pretty sure GCN emu will be way more active than DC and N64 so it will get filled up with runs really quick)
