Recently I submitted a run to be verified but it was rejected "because I don't have a proper reference of RTA."
I prefer the old school SDA style submissions where its just the game and nothing but the game. That's why my video did not have my LiveSplit splits or my mic's audio. I (incorrectly) assumed that the Youtube time stamps could be used for verification, or the person verifying the run could time it themselves if they so chose to do so. However I also understand that my preference may not match the standards of this community and potentially this site as a whole.
I also cannot submit my Twitch VoD for verification, even though it has my splits in it, as I do not a good enough internet connection and the VoD skips a chunk frames every so often.
So, for future reference for both myself and any other potential runners, I would like to know the exact requirements I need to meet in my videos to have them properly verified.
I.e. Do I need full splits or will a simple timer on the bottom corner of the screen suffice? Does the timer and the video have to be separate or can the timer overlap the video if its taking up an insignificant amount of space? Would using splits i/o help the verification process at all? etc.
edit: Trying to fix my formatting... its all in italics for some reason...
