I'm updating the board to hide emulator times by default. Dolphin can't accurately emulate the outlines, PCSX2 just crashes sometimes and you need to use certain backends and hacks to even get the outlines working, PPSSPP has issues with load times compared to real console if anyone were to actually run the PSP release.
You can still run and submit EMU runs, they'll just be hidden on the board unless someone is actively looking for them. The old runs still exist (for example the PSP record which was on emulator) and you can still see it by just filtering to include emulators.
Given I'm the only somewhat active runner playing on an emulator and think this is a fair call, I'm going to nip the problem in the bud now in case it actually becomes a problem later down the line.
Same thread idea as we have for Hit & Run.
Post footage of whatever bugs you end up finding even if you don't think its useful in a run here. Who knows, maybe something you think is useless could be game breaking if someone else knows what it could be applied to.
Sup. Quick post to make people aware that you can do coop online with friends reasonably easily.
Dolphin has built-in netplay functionality which should work well enough assuming you follow the setup instructions correctly.
If you want something easier to set up (and doesn't require the other player to have the game) you can also do the same using Nvidia Gamestream. This is an experimental feature for newer nvidia graphics cards so you simply enable that, boot dolphin and send your partner a link and they should be playing with you immediately.
Here's an example of an IL I did with a friend using Gamestream: This also depends on your internet connection heavily. While this is completely playable for us, keep in mind that we both have good internet speeds and only live a couple of miles apart.
This will work with whatever emulator of your choice, I don't suggest using PCSX2 for runs as it crashes at seemingly random during gameplay and the stable builds do not support the game's black outline on anything.
A voidout which puts you on top of the boat in Medal of Homer, skips two bomb timers and bart shooting some lifeboats. (EDIT: this is obsolete and found by accident, actual strat for this is later in the thread)
I watched the IL for The Day of the Dolphin and hated the fact you reload the checkpoint to skip the fence, don't do that. Lisa can do this too, its just a bit harder since you don't have the cape as backup. Don't leave your coop partner behind :(
Same thing goes for the mob wave fight (this time showing it with Lisa to show its possible), just do this and stop reloading saves.
A wall climb which skips the first Buddha statue in The Tree Hugger.
Thread to request categories to add, please include a link to a recorded run and a short explanation of why you want it up on the extended board.
The original requester for Wrestling deleted their account after I added the game to the series.
If you have any interest at all in setting this up please post in here and I will mod you ASAP.

If you can't see the obvious reason why this is banned just from these comparisons I don't know what else I can say to you.
Post glitches you found here, doesn't matter if they're useful or not in runs.
1: I have both pieces of DLC for this game, do runs need to be done with the base game only or is it fine to use parts from Creepy & Cute and so on?
2: Currently I'm using a tweak to make the game run at 60fps rather than the default 30 (it plays awfully without in comparison). Is that allowed? I don't see any mention of it in the rules.
3: Not a question but you guys should probably separate ILs into an IL leaderboard. For example like this: http://www.speedrun.com/The_Simpsons_Hit_and_Run
This was more of an issue when you had a bunch of misc categories but as the board becomes more populated it'll be harder to fix this kind of thing in the future.
4: Just due to how the nature of the game works, what about my own creations popping up in a world? I believe that they're supposed to be scaled to appear properly but what would be stopping me making a bunch of creatures which are incredibly easy to kill in the hopes that the game throws them in there with me?

Revision 4 of H&R Bingo, includes a bunch of lategame objectives because all the races we did ended by the time we got to Marge due to the high amount of earlygame objectives we had submitted.
The idea is to do All Story Missions (not any% due to load differences) while doing certain objectives you normally wouldn't do.
SUBMIT IDEAS HERE: (Edit: I no longer have access to this googledoc. This thread works just as well.)
Objectively bad ideas or things which cannot be proven to be possible won't even be acknowledged. Please make sure these submissions are actually possible to complete before submitting them.
