In races (or just doing a vs about this category with another runner) using other setups might lose a lot of time and people would go for og but at the end of the day,if (in this category in general) runners use setups and the wr doesn't even matter (as dump said) why should it be on the leaderboard? couldn't it be just a race only category? (i'm not even trying to cause drama with this (nor i was trying to cause it before),it's just a question!)
@HUMANRAC3 Sadly,even if we close this forum,if then someone asks another category (despite it being good),we're gonna fight again because of reasons from dump.

And even if cannonless isn't about practice anymore,why would a subcategory like it be stupid? I mean,it isn't needed but then (like i said before),even other categories quite dumb (that are on this category extensions already) will not be necessary in your opinion! Seriously let it go,stop caring about these threads! if you feel like they're not needed,just ignore them! "doing a category isn't about learning a hard trick!" 10X cannonless already does it! but even if it does:people do this category to practice cannonless,it is supposed to be fun,but if we ask a similiar one,it is useless. What's the reason between this thinking? come on,stop saying these to others,you're not changing anybody's mind,you're just making us lose time!
what if someone doesn't know how to do a specific star? there aren't many people who can do most of the hardest tricks in a speedrun and they obviously need to practice with it,and you? you feel like a category like this is still useless? also who the heck said that ALL categories can be fun and is good practice? getting a star with a difficult trick 10 times IS a good way to practice but 12,27 or 107 stars seem like a pretty lazy idea,it doesn't make sense and it isn't even a good way to practice (seriously how did you come up with these?). I've read your comment enough times and my opinions WILL NOT CHANGE!

@dumpdome64 I've told you Already (and i'm gonna repeat it)! category requests AREN'T mainly done because they're necessary but because they have to be fun. imagine if you were a kid and wanted to play outside with someone (a friend,a parent,etc.) you aren't playing because it's necessary to do so,but you're doing it to spend your free time and to have fun. if you really think that a requested category is unnecessary,then,so would be already existing ones:like all signs,Mario cam RTA,or even Nonstop.
I was looking at the level leaderboards and i found that there were No single star runs,just Stage RTA. Why single star runs aren't a thing anymore?
I've Finally Decided that The Category "Any% Warpless" Will Be Changed to "Any% No Secret Exits"! The Reason I'm Doing This Is Because in 2d Mario Games,Warpless isn't considered like "getting no secret exits" but it's like "not getting that element that warps you almost to the end or makes you skip a world and so (To Make Sense) i Think It's Better to Call This "Any% No Secret Exits". P.S. I Hope You Don't Mind Of This Change Or Confuse yourself with thinking that "Any% No Secret Exits" is a different category!
