Last year, I took the top 64 webgames on speedrun.com by activity and placed them in a single elimination bracket, and whichever game got the most votes in each round advanced. 2022 Bracket: https://challonge.com/mostactivewebgames2022 2022 Forum Thread: https://www.speedrun.com/the_site/thread/foclf
I'm deciding to do this again because... Why the hell not?
The bracket for this year can be seen here: https://challonge.com/mostactivewebgames2023
Predictions open!
This is something that has been suggested a while before when some idiot spammed the forums accusing someone of cheating with proof about as strong as a feather, but another situation has come up that makes me now want to bring this up again.
Someone I’ve known on this site has been targeted by a banned user making multiple alt accounts (which all routinely have to be banned by site staff) to submit runs to games that this person moderates for almost a year at this point.
IP blocking is a very simple thing to implement and prevents any ban evasion, as well as any site raids/targeted harassment as described above.
@Comrade_S made a thread listing speedrunners in CIS countries. Why do the same for Poland?
i have no idea
It’s that time of year again! I’m gonna be making a video recapping what happened on SR.C this year.
I will have a draft of what I have down for each month ready within a day or two.
Events that I am highlighting in the recap are not delegated to one community unless said community is very high profile. Events that are being highlighted happened on site and had an impact on all users.
Stay tuned for when the video drops!
It's back! 9 months ago I hosted a tournament in which 8 different single-elimination tournaments were played (plus a few other matches), and the winners of all those qualified for a bigger tournament that decided a champion, whom was @Kirbymasters87.
This time however, I mean, it's the same drill. Signups for new tournaments will be posted in this thread regularly so that you aren't missing out!
Oh yeah, join the discord. You can't participate without joining! https://discord.com/invite/bsdzueN72C
EDIT: The winner will actually get 1 month nitro, not 3.
EDIT #2: The season ends officially on May 6th, 2023. Playoffs will ensue afterward.
speedrun.com sucks
That's all I have to say
And it sucks. The run time and run date are cut off at the end.
It would be cool if the mods of a game/series would be displayed by level of power first, then account age based on said level of power. (I.e. super mods display first, regular mods 2nd, verifiers last)
(Not saying this just because I had to remake my account, resulting in me displaying last most of the time, just a genuine suggestion)
I said I retired, but I got sick of that, so I am back.
