you need to wait for it to fully download then it will be a zip file

listdemos+ is a bit outdated id recommend using stardemos+ which is in the resources tab but if you want to time individual demos or ILs use UntitledParser which is included with source unpack but also in the resources tab

quick saving is allowed if you mess up a trick but using it to perform a trick that wouldn't be possible without saves or loads is SLA (save load abuse)

what version are you on? type "version" in the console

try a fresh install because source unpack 2.5 has the demo record plugin where it automatically loads the plugin when you open the game

hmm thats weird maybe try downloading the "portal splits" in resources tab because those have the autosplitter already activated

just type it in like this then hit the "activate" button

the version is (build 1910503) which i guess is steampipe if you want source unpack (5135) watch the setup guide

maybe try looking in the top right of screen when the console is open but version should work, there is also a timestamp in that video that shows how to create demos which is what this thread is about

you need to own the game on steam and have steam open

what is the demo? it might be broken/ still going, type speedrun_stop after you're done. if you don't know how to play demos just press shift + f2 it will open a menu and then press load and find the demo (most likely in the demos folder)

do you have all the 18 map splits in livesplit because it being blue means that the run is finished, if you want the livesplit with all of them go into the resources tab and go to the splits section and download: Portal Split (or manually edit splits and select insert below and add all the levels)

5/10 - I like the new ui but the load speed and the fact anyone that's not mods can make resources is not very good lol

@Lyren any updates on this? I recently got a run using this timing and it would probably be rejected if I submitted it without the rules saying its allowed
