Many TVs work/can work at 30p and 48p fps, non interlaced. Enabling vsync locks the fps at that rate.

All you need is an hdmi cable.

^^anyone tried? I think that is fair game, to set the monitor at 30 fps, even if is necessary to configure a personalized resolution.

What if Vsync is activated?

What if the monitor runs at 30 fps (that's a Windows configuration), and the game is windowed?

Maybe life is harder at 30 fps, but maybe the player runs faster

I told to some speedrunners that the card can be taken from the door, without triggering the facehugger, but it was never taken advantage on any speedrun. Here is a video showing that the card can be taken and the facehugger do not appears.

Looks like a teleport exploit. The player is using the computer and at the same time moving. When the player exits the computer, it teleports.

If it can be done in mission 5, on the computer that has the code 2505 (has a locker behind), it could serve to teleport just after initiating the security protocol.

But looks like the player is impeded from moving without exiting the computer. Maybe spanning the crouch button helps.

On mission 10, in systech spire, the computer used to initiate lockdown (when Ricardo is behind the door) has a locker, so maybe it could be used to teleport and skip the long wait after the last computer hack. Maybe is faster to unlock the door to Ricardo room, then using the glitch, move to the last hack, and teleport, because it would minimize the painful crouch walking.

No, I mean, end of mission 14: go to systech spire, take elevator to gemini, take elevator to hospital. There is an extra elevator, but the player ends closer to the ambulance for anesidora, and is capable of running, because there are no obstacles to corner the player, and the alien is less active outside of the main path, to allow the player to backtrack and collect all the missing items.

Maybe making some noise in systech spire forces the alien to spawn on a convenient place. He may run after the player, but he is not that faster, and some flamethrower/bomb may stop him enough to save time running.

Some time is lost hacking a door at mission 10, but a v1 hacking is faster than torching and opening a door.

If you have the pipebomb at that stage, spend it, since you can grab 2 blasting caps on the next room, and that's the only scarce component.

Once you have 2 blasting caps, is easier to make a pipebomb than a molotov, because the next more scarce component is ethanol, and the bomb requires only 1 ethanol, less than for the molotov (2).

But meanwhile returning from grabbing the hack tool upgrade, you can also shot the android with the revolver with the advantage that he will run to you, saving more time meeting his body. Maybe leaving a flare at the entrance door makes him walk to it, cutting even more time.

Another advantage of shooting it is that the saved pipebomb works as insurance against the alien, or can be used for fast killing the android in mission 8 or the one guarding the bolt gun.

Did anyone tried to unlock the elevator in the last part of Level 10, to use it as a shorter route to the hospital at the start of mission 15?

What is the difference in time?
