@ExtraVirus, Actually i have half-life on steam but for me it's more comfortable to play on NGHL client and all my runs was done with this client. I just answered the question, i didn't force anyone to play on this client, I just said that there is an alternative way to play and speedrun the game.

Конечно можно играть не на стимовской версии. Зайди во вкладку "Guides" выбери гайд "NGHL setup guide" , и, следуя инструкции, описанной в гайде, ты сможешь спидранить игру на клиенте NGHL.
