I've been testing all the different emulators I could to find the most playable version. The PSXFIN emulator has not frozen on me once while playing, where every other version is either chuggy, or freezes at totally random times. The only downsides are, the game actually plays so smooth comparatively that it's a little too quick, and it actually seems to take longer during the loading screens as I don't gain control of the character until around 14 seconds on the first map, where it's normally around 12.
