You can get some flight items but end up only getting half the amount of gems -- no one's stopping you there. I can't imagine a scenario where it would be worth it to end a flight early and avoid getting the "All In One" gems just to save some time. At that point it wouldn't even be worth it doing the flight in the first place.
When I was creating the leaderboards, I considered a cateogry that required unlocking all of the vs characters characters, but definitely didn't think the run would be relevant to anyone else's interests. That's why I just stuck to the story mode. If you were to run something like this, we'll see what the run looks like and be more than open to create a category for it!
All Character Missions sounds like a fantastic idea; a hybrid between Any% Story Mode and 100%. I will be more than willing to add this category to the leaderboard. But, again, it's not a category until someone has ran it.
Great observation! Yes, it absolutely is worth noting a rule change. I meant the rule in a more obvious sense that the Story Mode must be completed from new -- not necessarily a blank memory card.

Optimising movement will save you several more minutes than learning glitches will. I'd recommend by starting to complete runs with little to no glitches to practice moving Spyro quickly. Then add glitches once you want to save small chunks of time.

You can use a lightweight program like Open Broadcaster Software to capture a portion of the game screen. I have the crappiest laptop on the market and still can get it to work.

Irrelevant question since neither bounties will be claimed.
However in theory if someone were to complete an Any% for $10, the Any% No UDM for $20 will still be active. But, since Any% No UDM is technically an Any% run as well, I won't be interested in an Any% run if Any% UDM has already completed. So the $20 bounty will trump the $10 bounty.
I would learn Red Remover before either of those. It helps with reaction time, hand-eye coordination, and dexterity; which will serve you well for speedruns looking forward into the future.

These are not PC games, they are Webgames. Please change or add the platform "Web" so it can reflect properly on speedrun.com
I have considered a level leaderboard for these Bloons games. The end result though would be everyone's times being very similar varying by tenths or hundredths of seconds since they take the same amount of time to complete since there are seldom optimiaztion strategies given, as long as you complete the level first try.
I couldn't make it past La Divertida, level 13. That level and NightShade, level 7, are very challenging even with UDM on.
