I'll be bringing two decks that people can play against each other to learn or refresh on the game. The decks are designed against each other and cover a lot of the basics.
Also, if anyone has a Standard, Modern, Legacy or Commander (EDH) deck they can bring I'd love to play some!
EDIT: Also, if more than 18 people wanna play I can give up my spot and just help with deckbuilding and judging the event.
I forgot about offering up my PC the instant I'd done it but here is my response Oasiz.
-Motherboard Gigabyte X79-UD3 -CPU i7 3820 -GPU 2047MB Geforce GTX 680 -RAM 16GB something something
The extra HDD solution would be pretty great. Saves me cleaning up afterwards.
EDIT: It also still has the bits of tape that says PC1 on it since last year so that's convenient :P
Was wondering the same thing. Wanted to submit my old shitty time and get Blood Thunder to submit his new WR.
If you want that kind of setup again I could bring my PC to be used for PC gaming this time aswell. There has been some individual game issues with it before but I think the setup went ok. It's becoming more outdated with the years though but it should run most games on the schedule well.
I'll also be bringing my super slim PS3, a PC monitor to go with it and a softmodded wii for Project M purposes.
For magic I'll have a Standard, Modern, Legacy and EDH deck with me. I play almost exclusively competitive magic so I don't have anything more "casual" sadly. My EDH (Commander) deck is pretty average though so some commander would be fun!
EDIT: I'll also be bringing two beginner decks designed for teaching people magic. I'll gladly sit down with anyone interested and teach you :D
As mentioned earlier I'm also looking into hosting a sealed tournament but I don't know if I have the money to put out on cards for it atm. Even if I'll get it back from participants.
Last year I hosted a very beginner friendly Magic: the Gathering event and I want to do the same this year. I'll be bringing two beginner decks to teach new people who want to learn the game and later in the week I plan on having a sealed deck tournament.
Sealed deck is a very beginner friendly format because you don't need to own any cards beforehand and after we're done you get to keep the cards you played with in the tourney. I'll probably make a thread of it's own for it when I'm sure I have the cards because it will cost a little bit of money to participate and there is more info I want to share then but yeah; Magic.
Ya'll want an update on my game. I've not had enough time to do as many runs of Ratchet 2 as I've wanted but I've done 2-3 runs a week since submissions to keep my game up. I did 5 runs in a row yesterday to get some kind of no reset average and they varied from about 37 to 42 minutes. I'll be keeping up with the game at about the same pace for a couple of weeks but about 2 weeks before ESA I'll have time to practice more and will try to get every run below 40 minutes at least.
EDIT: Still can't record HD so I don't have video :(
HAJP!
