Even though I don't run the game, I agree with @Mister_Ornicar . Basically, having multiple categories based off the same premise not only makes a board look unclean but it also encourages spamming runs.
What you could have, instead of the categories 25, 50, 75, etc. is instead have a category "Score%" and have subcategories under that be those categories we already have. That way, you're not cluttering up the board with these frankly arbitrary score limits and instead keeping those self-contained. And also, I would really take up @Aki 's suggestion and instead have bigger score goals instead of these trivial ones. Depending on how hard the game actually is, I would remove all points less than 100 and put higher amounts in. You may want to archive these boards for later instead of straight-up removing them. Having higher amount of points encourages users to test their skills and get better at the game rather than just giving up at 25. It doesn't feel like much of a speedrun if it lasts 10 seconds, but if it were instead to take maybe 5 minutes, that would require a lot more effort and feel much more rewarding. Also, it would validate your board a whole lot too.
This is speedrun.com. Having a high score category is nice, but it's not the forefront of attention, so I suggest putting that under miscellaneous.
(and for the record @SaturnRunsGames , you kind of are someone that dictates how the board looks).
If you want help enacting any of these changes should you choose to agree with me, contact me on discord and I'll help you out, although I imagine you guys should be fine.
Btw you have to click "Set default for all runs without value" under the filter option so that they all get the default value to make them all appear.
I've also found (been told that it exists) a board with a similar property (of having no mods), so I want to see if I can be added to it. https://www.speedrun.com/OLDTV I also submitted a 'run' to it, for posterity.

Rules for this board say not to use patch version 1.2.3.0, although according to the top run's Game Version, it was played on 1.2.3.0. (https://www.speedrun.com/Celeste/run/yvgweney)
@FRCTL Silenth (https://www.speedrun.com/user/Silenth/info) was last online 13 days ago (not classed as inactive) and have a twitch/discord attached.
Awesome, but what about 2)?
"Well-known users or moderators of other games in a series may request unreleased games two weeks prior to launch." and "In rare cases, unreleased games may be accepted by well-known users and only at site staff discretion."
How does this work?
- What defines well-known?
- What video would you submit? ("Please provide a link to a video of your run here:")
oh so the rumors are true
(that the admins are aware of it and are looking into it)
Is it redundant to say that admins are aware of it and are looking into it?
good to know that im not the only one that has this issue. how easy would it be to implement this?
First off, sorry about this post, you may not be able to understand it because I do that a lot.
So, I moderate a game with a lot of ILs (cuphead). In the ILs, we have a difficulty filter for the ILs - simple, regular, expert. This would work fine if we had a single subcategory setting set to all ILs - however, the last two bosses don't have a Simple mode. This means that the OG mods had to make a separate subcategory for all 17 other ILs with the 3 difficulties, and the last 2 with the 2 difficulties.
I've seen this similar problem sprouting up in other games and categories that I moderate, but I wanted to finally ask the question because it was gnawing at me. Technically, the way it is right now works but it isn't very efficient. Why was it done that way? Is it some sort of backend issue that would've made it hard to configure differently?
A solution I would do is I would have instead of Level selector drop down, i'd have some sort of way to view a list of all the ILs / categories and a bunch of check boxes, so you can select which category / IL to have the subcategory on. So instead of having the 19 values before, we'd have just two (one with simple/regular/expert and the other with just regular/expert) and just set the levels accordingly.
I don't know the problems associated with creating such a system, or the reasoning behind it but I wanted to ask anyways. Thanks for bothering to read this mess.
It's around 100 runs, I believe.
Trying to merge https://www.speedrun.com/cuphead/full_game#All_Bosses_-_Glitchless into https://www.speedrun.com/cuphead/full_game#All_Bosses , FWIW.
I'll start doing it manually, thanks for the help anyways
I have two main categories; i want to move all the runs from one into the other. I could edit each of the runs individually, but is there a way that I can just move them all in one go? They have the same subcategories, too.
