Isn't NG+ only Aincrad though? Your Hollow Area progress stays so you couldn't do true end runs in ng+

There are Vita, PS4 and PC platforms as options so it's both vanilla and Re. But it's all in one board and tbh, is anyone really thinking about running the Vita version? :D

I think it's fine having CMG for glitched runs and miniclip for glitchless. Having both as glitchless splits the categories into two very similar ones which doesn't make too much sense imo

As of right now, rules don't allow emulators. You should message one of the mods on discord if you want it. What I think personally, since the emulator is for PS3 version, running it on PS4 would be faster anyway, so emulator doesn't give unfair advantage so it may be allowed at some point if there's interest but again, you should contact one of the moderators for that.

I had the same issue. Someone linked other dinput8 file on discord (not the same one as here) and then it worked. Should ask in discord

Berries don't respawn unless you do the exploit, just changing date is not enough. Both needs battles. But like Adam said, it's slower than doing gym anyways

Oh, judging from the "gang strength-" I assume you don't ditch him. You need to be holding gang de-recruiting button (H for me) when he's getting in. Release it when he's in the van so he's no longer in the gang

He always steps out of the van after some time. If you're too slow to shoot him, his AI is really weird in that he gets out, immediately goes back in and goes to driver seat. So you can just wait a bit longer and shoot when he's in driver seat, not passenger before exiting van. Obviously that's slower though.

And for train, yes, the bike has a very wonky controlling it. Basically just drive onto train almost fully straight, just slightly to the right, so that you can shoot them without turning, because you can't really adjust your angle on the train

Guys, you don't get it. It's just not fun to do, it's not fun to add little bit of time where you just sweep with Eternatus. Even if it does say the end after last Hop fight, this isn't like Gen2 where you get whole new region and Red after Elite Four. That makes it worth making the category up to Red, this is not.

I'm pretty sure that is tied to actual time and wouldn't work.

But basically yes, every single glitch is allowed until some crazy glitch will be found that would skip so much and force to make a glitchless category

Guys, instead of asking for categories, do a run of them and then show it to people on discord. Then people will consider it. Noone is gonna add blank categories.

Hello, so I don't really plan to speedrun this, but I see everyone talking about banning up+down. The only version I played is on Switch Membership (And because Switch has directinal buttons not as dpad I can press up+down). It doesn't do anything? The second press just cancels the first? I guess it might just be patched on Switch, but I still would like to know what up+down actually do and why is it bad for it be a thing?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the first two games were released on Vita. So why isn't that available to choose as a system?

I haven't touched the PC port, but I believe it's same as PS4 so should be good :/ I'm thinking about running this game as well (on PS4 though), but there's a lot of routing to do for this game, so not gonna jump into it yet :D

Probably because there aren't enough people running this game. If there was a lot of categories they would be with 1-2 people on the leaderboards (this mistake was already done with P4)

I noticed one thing when rewatching my PB run. If you watch the cutscene when starting Dinosaur, you get a shorter one when entering again, even when starting new game (this actually was the case in my PB as well because I did that attempt after a reset). I hope my run stays as valid one, but the question is: do we ban this cutscene skip or allow it (I vote for allowing)

Usually speedrunners use Mednafen because it's the most similar to real PS1. It's kinda difficult to set up though and if you use a controller, the buttons are slightly less responsive, but still I recommend this one. Fastest in probably ePSXe but I had a graphical glitch when detonating bombs with it.
