Hello guys, I discovered that the IGT always start when you enter the level. Even when the tutorial is up. Because dying resets the timer, it is faster to die in the level then starting it. This brings up the question, are you allowed to die in the level and start the run from there or do you have to start the level from the map? I will let you mods decide. Edit: To clarify, this is specifically for the levels with a textbox in the beginning like 1-1 and 1-2.
Hello Mods, When playing one of the levels, I manage to get a very fast time. But then text appeared saying "New Level Record". This delays the transition to the next level which under the timing rules, adds a couple of seconds. I propose that timing for ILs should end when the screen begins fading to white or when the "New Level Record" text appears. Because they both appear at the exact same time, it only seems fair to add this rule into place.
So, saw this game recently got on this site. Might as well share some strats I've had for years.
You can beat the game without beating any of the levels except for bosses. This is because the gold pins are actually stored before the level is beaten. When you do beat a level, you can exit the level as soon as you do because it will count as being beaten when you touch the finish stage.
But you may be wondering, what about the first level in the ice world? Don't you have to beat the level to continue the game? Well, their is a way to get in the pipe without finishing level. You can run into some round walls to put your self in the background. In this instance, you can run into the rock to put yourself in the background and use your double jump in the rock while leaving it, you can put yourself next to the pipe. Then, end the glitch by jumping to enter the pipe. You have successfully skipped beating Slippin' Sled. You can get back to the Grass world by running into the curvy wall next to your green monster friend.
