About half an hour. If it's over half an hour I tend not to bother, I don't have time to learn a game that takes longer, let alone run it regularly.

I've never seen anyone here get ridiculed for putting in a slow time. Mostly because the people at the top of the leaderboard have played the game countless times and they started off doing no better than you when you start. Like anything in life, don't expect to be the best straight away, have fun with it and just aim at constant progress, set your own goals and criteria for your success. Some people simply don't have the free time to speedrun a game endless times to be the best and people understand that.

Aww boy I hadn't noticed this either. When do you even lose control? I've always worked on it being the last hit you land on Ooze, I've not tried pressing anything after that anyway.

I assume because there were very few console runs and loads of emulator runs. New to this game but I've seen it happen for similar reasons on other titles.

I used to, but I'm a beggar for forgetting to hit the record button so I just rely on Twitch's feature to record old broadcasts. I'm always in fear of the stream not staying saved, but that seems less likely than me forgetting to record. You could do both to be fair, there's no reason not to and it's doubly sure. it just kills your HDD space unless you delete it all again after you've finished.

Well seems we've both been made mods now, while I don't have a run ready I started playing through this last night so should at least be streaming practices soon.

Back on topic though, I can start having a look at changing the leaderboards up tonight probably, but I've never been mod here before so will have to have a look around.

I'd like to apply to mod The Simpsons: Night of the Living Treehouse of Horror (Dugongue is the only mod and I plan on running in the next week or so and there's another guy in the forum who wants to run too) and also Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie (Genesis) (there is a semi-active mod, but approving runs does take a while and he's a mod of a good few other games, this game does have a few active runners too, maybe one of them would be better suited).

No idea if I've been here long enough or been active enough to qualify, but I'd like to give it a shot.

How do you go about applying to mod a game?

I wouldn't mind that. Never modded a game before but I do check in here quite a bit even if I don't get to run as much as I'd like. Happy to create a segmented level leader board etc.

I'm personally always up for level runs as well as whole game as long as they're sensibly structured.

There aren't any rules for a whole game run yet, maybe we can coke up with something? I might make this the next game I run for nostalgia so will have a look what might be best.

Them are some pretty good suggestions actually. I've been streaming this on and off anyway so I guess I may as well give them a shot. Free WR's and all that.

Should we start developing some then? Since a few of us are all interested in running seems we should all be running the same thing a least.

I noticed some of the entries into the leaderboard under the PC section are actually PS2 emulated runs, and we have a separate PS2 section. Something doesn't make sense there.

I'm about to start running with a PS2 emulator too, so want to know where to upload my runs.

Is there an easy way to combine the 2 sections since there's barely any runs anyway and we don't know if there's much difference between the 2 systems yet?

The other thing is, it's getting almost impossible to play this on a PC since the disc isn't recognized by modern operating systems in my experience (hence I'm resorting to emulation).

I've been thinking about running this game for a while and was next on my list, just beat me.

Anyway, was wondering if there was any recommendations for emulating this. I was planning ok simply using the latest version of pj64.
