a new category has just been created. World Tour! World Tour is a category where you play the first race of each country. This category is just under 60 minutes! 20 minutes faster than Half Tracks! Feel free to make attempts whenever.

This category used to exist and was called "Around the World" but was reinstated to "World Tour" easier to understand and make sense of.

The Top Gear: Dare Devil leaderboard is now up and active. As the admin for the Top Gear Series feel free to purpose any category ideas to add. Currently there is only Any% as I don't run the game myself, so I added it as a placeholder name with placeholder Any% rules. The Discord as of this new thread currently does not have a Top Gear: Dare Devil sub-category to divide routes/runs/strategies, however, will be added within the following week (schedule on that promise is tentative).

Came across this game earlier last week, and decided to try and make a "Win a Game" TAS -> User File #638374110737335910 - TASVideos TAS Timing = 11:36.94 | RTA Timing = 11:01

I gained interest in the GBA version for DKC due to searching what the run was like. Recently I took notice that the WR beat the previous TAS and decided to try my hand at updating it. This was honestly my first go at it so hopefully you'll find it enjoyable.

Found out that every 18 frames the lap counter will increase with the patterns of: S_S -> 18 frames S_S (S = Start)

GBA Forum: Now that this board is for the GBA version, I'll transfer my TAS forum over here (if possible).

Idea: I've been messing around with using Force Save None in the GBA Emulator settings, which decreases the amount of time it takes for the "Saving" after each level finishes.

How "ForceNone Save Type" Works: it takes 217 frames for the "Saving" to appear and disappear after each level. By eliminating the save function that the GBA has for games, it won't save progress at all and save 217 frames or 3.38 seconds a level.

Ideal Outcome: Mathematically speaking, 217 frames times 6 levels = 1,191 frames or almost 20 seconds. (From Story Mode Select = 19.57 seconds) (From Power On = 19.94 seconds).

World 1 -> 1,191 Frames 19.57s World 2 -> 2,604 Frames 43.37s World 3 -> 3,906 Frames 1:05.26m Etc.

TAS Movie Rules: (and General Guideline) The general movie guidelines says that: "the BIOS can't be changed" & the ROM has to be [!] = Perfect Condition

'As long as that's the only thing effected, it should be allowed.'

2. Open Planets Champ in Bizhawk 2.8

3. Download the BK2 User file/Full-[when completed] drag and drop the BK2 onto Bizhawk while Bizhawk is paused with Planet Champ running

4. Press the Unpause function in Bizhawk

5. Enjoy!
